I could name 50 bands that do metalcore far better than Unearth.

I've never been into the genre, but Mike Justain was quite a good drummer, he really shined on the two/three songs I heard from this band.

However, you can't go wrong with Gene behind the kit.

Matter of opinion I guess. Chimaira, TTEOTD, Darkest Hour etc. just bore me. KsE post Jesse Leach isn't worth much. All That Remains is about the only contender I'd pull out of your list. I will admit that they have a lot of talent for what they're doing.
