This kid's prolly a hipster elitist mo, who discovered this cool band "X" and "Y" "before they got big, when noone knew who they were" etc... Sadly, there's too many of 'em! (Not the bands that gets big, but the elitist morons

What can I say? It's just a kid, they're all about ego and get a "unique taste" to spread all over the Internet.

(sorry about the kids in this forum, but as Mr. Hetfield said once, it's Sad, but True.)

Ssh, '... Sandman' is amazing and we all know it

Same as '... Teen Spirit'.

I grew up. Lots of those BM and punk guys don't though.

Well the mainstream is comprised of crap - mostly. That doesn't mean there aren't pieces of gold to be found among it.

The truth is that in most cases you HAVE to be crap to go mainstream, but sometimes a good band breaks through and it's a shame that a fan would stop listening to them because of their success or who they signed with.

I still recall the uproar when Cradle of Filth signed with Sony, or Opeth gaining popularity. From what I can tell they're as good as ever (well, COF are up and down but they've been like that their entire careers).

I guess I would call myself a music elitist to a certain extent in that I really only want to hear good musicians, but I certainly don't base who I listen to on their level of popularity.

If Dev went to No.1 I'd still be the first one at my local record store buying the album.
