Haven't heard of a remaster until now! Must check that out...

The new album is killer, by the way!

EDIT: Do you mean the 2004 reissue? If so, it's not remastered.

Elegy doesn't really need much remastering..
Essential listening for everyone!
Their best record IMO, though I haven't really heard the newer offerings..

Great band! Saw them twice this summer. Indeed.

Tuonela, Am Universum and Far From The Sun are all really mellow, introspective affairs. Pasi had a big influence on that style. They're great albums, though. After Pasi left the band, they got a new singer and switched gears. Eclipse was very much a solid mix of Elegy's heaviness and their recent mellow stuff, while the upcoming album is even heavier. They brought back the death metal vocals, which is pretty badass!

The new singer, Tomi Joutsen, is amazing!
I have listened Amorphis a long time ago, and now got
back into it, mainly because of Tomi.

He is such a great singer, has a lot of presence on stage
and is very carismatic on and off stage.

This new Amorphis really hits me well, haven't listened
to older stuff at all since I got Eclipse.

Bah. Elegy is the best, followed by Am Universum. Eclipse is a piece of shit but at least the new one is slightly better. They need to fire that new singer though and not try to replace Pasi with a soundalike who isn't as good. I used to love this band but once Pasi left it all went downhill.

So you're saying that Pasi's voice sounded good in Far from the sun? THAT album is piece of shit. Eclipse is good and Am Universum is the best. And also my opinions are teh truth.

You clearly have not heard Eclipse or the new album. The new singer sounds nothing like Pasi. Not even close. Suggesting so is absolutely baffling.

Guys, guys let's not turn this thread into a bunch of youtube/blabbermouth comments! It's music, you can't rate it. Period.

Yeah, I neglected to mention the similarities between his voice and Scott Stapp also. And I'm not even saying that to make people angry, just listen to him! A cross between Pasi Koskinen and Scott Stapp.
