As an American, I will say that it's shameful that people think to picket someone's funeral because they had the courage to portray a gay character in a very well done motion picture. But, as an American, I also think that it's not like America has a monopoly on nutballs or hateful pukes.

That being said, I'm proud of the fact that in America you have the absolute right to display your ignorance and hatred in public and allow anyone with a decent sense of morality to develop contempt for you.
