My roommates are pretty big Behemoth fans, and so one of them told me earlier. It sounds an awful lot like leukemia...

Glad I got to see them about a month ago. Seemed fine back then. I do hope it's not leukaemia, it's a bitch. Lost an uncle to that not long ago :(

oh crap! :( I've seen Behemoth live 4 times now. Definitely one of the best live bands! Here's hoping that he'll be doing fine again soon!

Been following this for a couple of days now, ever since things started to get a bit peculiar after announcing their withdrawal from Sonisphere (and hoping they didn't do the same for BOA). Kept checking updates and things kept sounding worse and worse.

Such a shame. Really hope he gets better quickly enough. Really gutted to not be seeing them at BOA, couldn't wait for that one.

I'm just glad I got to see them and meet Nergal before shit went down. He didn't seem too well even in April...

Damn, his seems pretty serious. :( Hope he makes a full recovery soon! Behemoth totally knocked me over when I saw them at Graspop, the tent felt like it was going to be totally blown away. Metal has become a richer place with bands like them around.

Satanspeed Nergal!
He's pretty optimistic, and that always helps the body fight any disease. Here's hoping he indeed emerges stronger.

I saw Behemoth I believe in '05, and one thing that always stood out was pre-show, they had a black curtain hiding the stage while they were prepping. We could hear them speaking in Polish, testing the equipment. A house full of drunken fans were screaming "SUBTITLES!" and "HURRY THE FUCK UP!"
He growled into one of the mikes, "BE FUCKING PATIENT!!!" At least I believe it was him. That's how I knew it was going to be a good show; I wasn't disappointed.

For those who may not have heard:

"BEHEMOTH leader Nergal has just found out he needs a marrow transplant to fight the sickness he has recently been diagnosed with (leukemia). In light of this he wants to remind everyone about the need to be on the marrow registry. The more people get tested and donate, the more of a chance for life there is for him and people in the same situation."

...shit.

I've been on it since 1994, and I almost got called up in 2008. I highly encourage it. Best wishes to Nergal for a match!!

He'll make it. They always go in triples and we've had Peter Steele, Dio and Paul Gray recently.

At least I really hope so

Yeah, I think it'd be pretty bad luck to lose Peter Steele, Dio AND Nergal...
