You did the right thing.
During the movie I got the impression that this one was made for "I-understand-beauty-better-than-you-because-I'm-a-woman/gay" -type of persons. The whole clip is just so empty it'll make you depressed.

Hostel: Part II

Part one was bad enough, but this one is just rubbish altogether. Someone needs to slap Eli Roth about and tell him making a good film isn't all about vicious imagery and over-the-top blood use.. Terrible stuff all around.

Hey, this is my 1000th post.. Woohoo! :D

But I liked the movie. Heath did a good job, I think I liked Nicholson's Joker better but I wouldn't reprimand anyone for disagreeing.

I agree with everything except the Joker bit. I thought Heath's was far superior to Jack's. Regarding the ships, I was really hoping one (or somehow both) of them would explode. I was very disappointed when Zeus tossed the whatever device overboard.

I didn't like TDK. It wasn't bad, but I thought Begins was great, and this one didn't quite reach the same level. IMHO, they should have completely scrapped the part with the two boats. It was too detached from the rest of the story, and the movie was already getting too long by that point.

And the way the new Rachel was constantly trying to imitate Katie Holmes' mannerisms was really getting on my nerves :D

The orphanage. Not ground breaking, but a bit creepy with a few good scares. The end was heartbreaking.

she was stiff, although she wasn't given a whole lot to work with i suppose.

i don't think the movie was too long, i think it needed to be longer but it could have really done without that scene. Tack on another half hour, then maybe the title "The Dark Knight" has more relevance?

gonna watch inland empire tonight

American Psycho.. Srsly, if you haven't seen this film, I'd strongly recommend you check it out. Bale is epically brilliant in it.

Atonement.

Well acted but terminally depressing. The constant flashback thing became really tiresome. But worth seeing once.

I really enjoyed Atonement.

Just got back from being subjected to the inanity of Dodgeball :(

My kids like the Dodgeball movie. And my view of Atonement was probably coloured by the fact I wasn't feeling well while watching it. It was a good movie, but still not something I'd want to see again in a hurry right now I don't think. Too sad.

Yeah, it was pretty bleak to say the least. I thought it was very well done, but I'll agree that I'm not exactly rushing to see it again.
