They showed a lot of heart, have some great players and quite frankly the more times I get to see Datsyuk play the better but it'll interesting to see who makes it. I'm hoping for Vancouver as I'd love to see a Canadian team lift the cup....from the east I'll go with Tampa cos St Louis is just a legend...and possibly the only player left who could fit in the cup

I'm still pulling for that Vancouver - Tampa Bay final cos I reckon it'll be absolutely fantastic...

What worries me most about the Red Wings' loss is that it may be the last time Nik Lidstrom puts on that jersey. I really, really hope he doesn't retire and hangs on for next season. The man is an absolute legend and watching some of his performances were what seriously got me into ice hockey a few years back.

I really think he'll do one more - such a legend!

Sharks v Canucks game 1 lived up to expectations, should be a good series :) and congrats to Finland!

Going to see Huddersfield vs. Bournemouth in the football promotion play-offs tomorrow evening. Been at uni in Huddersfield for almost 2 years and I've not been to see them once yet. Looking forward to it

If they lose the next game, expect the Sharks to fold fast. They're not very good at hanging on this far in.

You're going to fit right in when you're over here with those levels of optimism

Epic day of comebacks!

Leinster come back from 22 - 6 down against Northampton at half time in the Heineken Cup final and absolutely MANGLED them in the second half to win 33 - 22. Unbelievable performance to bring the biggest rugby trophy in Europe back to Ireland. :D

And the Lightning - Bruins game was brilliant as well. Boston completely threw it away though. Delighted cos I really want Tampa Bay to win. I have some irrational hatred of the Bruins for no apparent reason at all.

AAAAAAND it's my favourite footballing day of the year tomorrow as 5 teams are all possibly gonna get relegated from the Premiership. Gonna be some seriously exciting stuff there!

To complete the comebacks, Collingwood kicked 11 goals straight in the last quarter.

God I love Australian Rules Football. Especially when my team wins.

Arsenal; the only football team in the world capable of finishing fourth in a two-horse race.

Relegation battle was as dramatic and epic as expected, and then some. It's a damn shame Blackpool were relegated. I was so hoping they'd manage to avoid the drop but they were really up against it playing against Man United on the last day... I'm happy that Wigan stayed up cos I'm a big fan of Roberto Martinez and there's a lot of Irish connections with Wolves so I'm pleased for them as well. Birmingham really epitomised how a strong Cup run can cripple a team's league performance, but I think they're the most likely of the teams that got relegated to jump straight back up, assuming they can keep their big players. I hope Blackpool can do it again though, because they were a breath of fresh air this season and were entertaining in every single game they played in. Probably the only team you could really say that about. Hope Holloway sticks it out and brings em back up again in a year's time!

The Boons are a very easy team to hate. I wish them failures upon failures.

Stanley Cup final starts tomorrow... C'moooooooooooooon the Canucks! I'll miss the tail-end of the series, unfortunately, cos I'll be away on holidays (not unfortunately :P ) but I'd say it'll be a cracker...

The Boons have had a couple of surprises up their sleeves though, and while The 'Nucks are my favorite as well, I learned you cannot count out the Boons early.

That said, Go Canucks Go! :p

And congratulations to Winnipeg, you got your hockey team back, and now the task is set upon the fans to make it a worthwhile team. Buy tickets, buy merch and support your team!

Edit : did not wanna make a new post, but awesome news! Colin Campbell is no longer going to be the head of NHL discipline. Not only has he showed very poor decision making, but he was clearly biased as was made clear not even a year ago, when his correspondence became a matter of public record in the wrongful dismissal case of referee Dean Warren against the NHL. Showing hate for particular players, bending the rules for his son. Brendan Shanahan is supposedly replacing him, but the committee might have an overhaul.
