well, apparently the Jasper model has problems similar to the Red Ring of Death problem. But yes, it does not mean that it has to happen to you and the Xbox is clearly my prefered gaming console.

hahaha, yeah the RROD is infamous with the Xbox. however the new Jasper 65nm chipsets have decreased the risk of gaining a RROD, keeping it standing up is another way to die, best to keep it flat and open.

I will admit that the Xbox has had its flaws but its making up for it. Plus the online is just Bitchin! :D

Okay, I'm confused. I read the opposite... that you had to keep it upright to avoid problems. Enlightenment required.

Keeping it upright scratches the disks, laying it flat overheats it. Easy enough!

My old roommate had a 360 and he enjoyed it a lot. It was just an Arcade version though (I believe thats what it was called) and it didn't come with a hard drive, which was a poor decision on his part because he had to keep on buying those way-overpriced 256MB memory cards. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the 360 doesn't support the backing up of saved game files via USB drives, either.

Two things that the PS3 has over the Xbox:

1) Free online.
2) Simpler, less cartoony user interface. (The most recent Xbox interface looks like a Wii knock-off)

And this is kind of a pet-peeve, but the fact that you have to buy points to buy stuff for 360 is just odd to me. At least if you want to buy something from the PS Store, you pay for the product with money (provided that your wallet contains enough money). I know its a little more "kid-friendly" to count points instead of dollars and cents, but if you don't know how to count numbers with decimals yet, why the hell are you playing video games, or buying stuff for a game console?

Part of it was a money-making thing. You're always left with a few points left over, and you think "Well, if I buy another set, I can then buy this and get rid of those spare ones I have." Alot of parents are also really reluctant to have their debit or credit card saved to the xbox market place. A kid can just keep buying points off of it without their consent. If you ahve to buy in a shop it means you have more control.

But yes, mostly money.

FINALLY beat Prince of Persia. I stopped playing this game back in February! I found all 1001 Light Seeds too. Was a bitch, 2 of them eluded me for days and days until I finally cracked and used a guide.

And I might get the Epilogue.

Oh well, it's finished now. Back to Riddick, must beat Assault on Dark Athena.

Fucking stupid money making tactic here at least, since I know 20,000 people who could hard mod, and everyone knows what an emulator is these days.

But works REALLY well.

Anyone who has a wii should get Toejam and Earl.

Wow somehow my Price of Persia glitched me and gave me the achievements for having Elika save me less than 100 times and for beating the game in under 12 hours...and I assure you I played it for far longer than 12 hours and she probably saved me 200+ times

Keeping the Xbox standing blocks the most important fan which is located near the bottom, its the heat sink, If thats covered by having said xbox standing, then you have a higher chance of overheating, but that isint much of a problem now with the Jasper chipsets now.

Having the Xbox on its side has been said to scratch disks, I dont see it, but I install all my games to the HDD so that I dont have that stupid Vacuum Noise everytime it spins.

Xbox in general hardware wise is just really cheap unfortunately, PS3 is solid for Hardware, Software wise though, the Xbox trumps the ps3 hands down, All that Talk of the Cell in the ps3 is bullshit. hell, the ram isint even as high as the Xbox's.

both have their ups and downs! :D

I'll admit the ps3 has MGS4 and Killzone 2, 2 games that I'd LOVE to have in my possession, but alas, I dont see the point of buying a £299+ console for 2 games.

ROLL OUT PS4! :D:D
