Holy crap, again?!!

Ripping Records lists them for April 18th...awesome! That would make the 4th time in like 2 years for me. I will have to buy a ticket this weekend.

(sorry Dave...!)

i hope so much for no song in the style of lazarus!!!

Why? It's a beautiful song.

Seriously, that song had so much radio potential.

Most of my favorite songs from Steven Wilson are his softer songs like Trains, Feel So Low, or most of his stuff with Blackfield.

Dude's talented. Just like Devy.

I'm kind of excited and kind of scared about 6 lengthy songs. Most of the long songs that Steven has written usually have like 4 or 5 minutes of dead space somewhere in the middle. Still great songs, but they seem to drag on.

lazarus is a good song, but for porcupine tree (what I like about them) it's quite weak. i have nothing against their short songs or their songs with radio potential.
but compared with songs like "pure narcotic", "the rest will flow", "stranger by the minute", it's sooooo weak.
(i especially dislike the bridge after the 2nd chorus).

and "trains" - too good for the radio!!!

If there was justice in this world, Trains would have made them a Top 40 band. Seriously, anyone who I have showed that song too (musos and non-musos alike) reckon its brilliant.

Deadwing introduced me to PT. Did really like it so hunted for earlier stuff. Found coma divine and In absentia. I think i would Listen to In Absentia more than the others, though all Is good material.

GREAT NEWS to hear there is another ablum on its way... Deadwing feels like just yesterday.

Looking forward to it as well. I started listening a little after In Absentia came out, but I'd say their earlier material is their best (Signify, The Sky Moves Sideways, Up the Downstair), so I'm hoping the new record is more like those records-meet-metal and less like Deadwing, which is good but bland IMO - doesn't hold up after repeat listens, mostly because of some iffy mastering and some less-than-good songs ("Halo" is terrible, for one of many).

As for those lyrics, SW never was the most cunning lyricist, but he does have much better material than that...

Damn it!! There was no In absentia or Stupid dream in that record shop. That makes me a sad panda. I have downloaded In Absentia and I will buy it sooner or later (as soon as I find it somewhere) because it is almost as awesome as Deadwing. But anyway I bought the dvd :D

I've gotten into In Absentia a LOT here lately and I think it's brilliant!

I've got to get that DVD.

Is Blackfield II out yet? I know it's been leaked for a while, but I prefer to own the album.

I keep hearing things about a new No Man album too, but it isn't listed on his site. However, it deems it a probability on the No Man site. I really hope so. No Man's my second favorite project from him.
