Talk about whatever you want to here, but stay correct

I agree...that level just wasn't done well. It felt rushed and like they just thought 'yeah, lets put this into it and make the game more controversial' and the level itself turned out to be total non-sense. I don't mind them putting the subject itself into the game but this was just 'walk, shoot, done, next level'.

Anyway...I bought Super Mario Bros. for the Wii today and it's actually fun. Took me back to my early gaming days. It may just be nostalgia but I really enjoyed playing it today.
I also bought The Saboteur today (it was used and cheap like like new) and I'm sure I'll enjoy it anyways. Have not had the chance to play it yet though.

and I did manage to finally get my hands on 'the zombie island of Dr. Ned'. It's been fun so far but I hope the respawning zombies don't get on my nerves too quickly.

Nah, the zombies are easy to get by if you don't want to shoot them! I'm waiting for the next Borderlands expansion which adds on a banking type system to store items you dont want to carry on you. I guess it's not really a story add on but more of a "Horde/Firefight" mode for Borderlands. Pretty awesome they are cranking out DLC for it so quickly, even if it's not as drawn out or anything as say, the Fallout DLC.

Also, new Medal of Honor trailer looks very pleasing:

Watch out Call of Duty ;)

And that's very necessary. I hate to throw away good stuff just because I have no space for even better stuff, heh.

speaking of racing games....I bought Wipeout HD Fury on PS3. Found it in a games store on disc. I love Wipeout, I think it actually was my first 3D game on PS1 so I have nostalgic feelings for that series. And it does look really good too.

I'm currently about halfway through Assassin's Creed.
As I mentioned eariler - I never really got into it when it was released, but after playing AC2 (three times, ya know 8) ), I've been all inspired.
It was with a bit of trepidation, however...in the past I've played sequels to games before the originals - been impressed and proceeded to go the retro route, often to be very disappointed (Splinter Cell, I'm lookin' in your direction...).
Not this time, though.

Not a lot of difference between the pair of 'em. The first one looks great and plays as easy as the sequel. The swordfighting is perhaps a tiny bit better in the original...I just left a pile of about 35 Crusader bodies in a street in Acre.
It'd be interesting to see who would win a swordfight between Altaïr and Ezio...I think Altaïr is more of a master...though all Ezio would have to do is dive into the water, and that'd be Altaïr somewhat screwed. :D

Great pair of games, may they keep 'em coming.

That about sums up the entire game, except for all the senseless climbing. Oh, and of course the lovely characters who follow you and say "please, sir, just a few coins. A few coins, that's all I ask. No, YOU don't understand, I have nothing." Always worth it to (at least) punch that bitch in the face.

I think the beggars/bards are everyone's biggest pet peeve about the Assassin's Creed games.

The second game had a somewhat more cohesive story, it actually had the back story on how Ezio became and assassin where as in the first game, you're just thrown into the shoes of Altair who is just an assassin with nothing more. Makes you connect with the character more, even though Ezio is a selfish prick from the get go, but I think he turns into a more "Robin Hood"-esque character as the game goes on.

Borderlands actually IS a lot of fun when you play it with friends....too bad all my friends just recently bought it after I already played the game for over 70 hours. What a bunch of *REPLACE nasty word for vaginas here*. Oh well, I did help a friend of mine with his playthrough though and he got all 1125 points after 3 days already

oh, and I don't know if you already bought 'The Saboteur', Leechy. But I can tell you now that it is a fun game. The controls are not perfect but it's fun to blow up Nazi stuff anyways. Oh and there's titties in the game...lots of them.

I'm getting it as a Christmas prezzie so I shall be delving into it soon enough! Till then the internet shall provide all the titties I need. And the other one as well...

With my major wad of Christmas cash I shall be buying Assassin's Creed II, methinks. I'll then have to find something else to hold me over until Red Dead Redemption, I Am Alive and Mafia II in 2010.

And a question for anyone here who played Demon's Souls, anyone manage to finish it? I was talking to a guy the other day who's spent an age on it since it was released and just cannot get anywhere. Is it reeeeeeeally that difficult!?

it's brutally difficult....I beat the first major boss....some 2658465865 feet tall knight with a bad ass sword...and after that I was totally exhausted. Because of a friggin' videogame. And you really get punished in that game for screwing up so you better be good. It's a very good game though, despite the difficulty. It's just one that will take me ages to beat because it kicks your ass so much.

heh heh...I usually just draw my sword and chase them halfway across Acre/Damascus/Jerusalem...that'll learn 'em.
At least in AC2 you can chuck money all over the place, and then of course there are the pickpockets and Borgia couriers to run after...

Yeah I beat the game three times with three different characters. It's a great game and very brutal until you learn (the hard way) how to protect yourself and how to take down enemies and bosses the right way. A truly rewarding game, the feeling you get when you finally beat a boss after the 10th try is amazing, like you could take on anything after that.

Easy piece of advice to anyone playing it is don't be afraid to join others when you're in phantom form and always summon someone if you're in your body form. Oh, and don't forget to block and evade ;)
Every other game you play after Demons Souls is gonna feel like a walk in the park too :)

I just finished inFAMOUS on ps3 and im sorry to say that i was actually a little underwhelmed with that game. Little too high hopes i guess heh :P
Well on to play some Disgaea and Vagrant Story on the psp now! Toodles.
