Currently in the process of... acquiring ;) Far Cry.

There are too many famous games that I never played.

Fahrenheit is amazing, great game. I actually finished it the other day.

Far Cry is pretty sweet aswell, Im playing it at the moment. 8)

Im not really a massive fan of Halo 3 at the moment, it seems to rushed and the game doesn't really have the finesse like other multiplayer games such as Call of Duty 4. When I was playing the beta version of COD4 I couldn't stop playing, even though it was 3 levels it was just so addictive.

The campaign in Halo 3 was abit of a let down, the missions are great but the game seems to short. I don't really care what the graphics look like cos I look for gameplay more then graphics...but still, doing co-op with mates is pretty sweet.

I reckon Call Of Duty 4 will dominate Halo 3 in the multiplayer section, and I assume the single player mode aswell. All the Halo fanboys seems to not want to admit that the new installment isn't as good as the others. If you all remember playing Halo 2, that was fucking long...that took me ages, but this new one seems like it was thrown together to rape the public for a quick buck.

Im sure the additions of downloads in the future will help, but the lifespan of this game wont last any longer then afew months.

There was also same debate that Halo 3 is running in 640p, which seems to not exsist in the scale of HDTVs. Thats why the graphics looks so scaled down and to put it simply looks like Halo 2.5, but i'm sure that was there whole plan to make it look like the originals so it wouldn't damage the foundation of the previous games cos nothing has been touched up, all weapons and characters look like they just came from Halo 2, which is what im sure they wanted...I guess. lol!

Never the less, its still an ok game. But its not game of the year material, im looking forward to Mass Effect and Call of Duty 4, they will be some excellent games to check out.

I also found out that Xbox and Capcom have plans to bring back the original Street Fighter 2 to Xbox Live Arcade and pump all the graphics up to HD quality, I mean redraw every single character and level from scratch...that will be something else to look forward too.

Yeah Halo 3 was a terrible hype...

And it seems to be the trend in video games that focus shifts more and more from single player to multi player gameplay. Not a good thing if you ask me. Multi player can be fun of course, but I think for most games, the value is in single player mode where there is a story that keeps you fixed and focused and makes you want to finish the game in one run.

But of course, multi player gameplay is much cheaper to make for the developers because they don't need as many levels/maps, they don't need AI, they don't need a story to keep the player interested.

And apparently, having both a good single player mode, as well as multi player, is not an option. Most games have their single player campaign finished in less then 10 hours these days. Sad case.

Halo 3 Campaign too short?

Play it on "Legendary" then...

Got my Helmeted Edition on Monday. Disc was OK, no scratches...and the 2 bonus discs have about 6 hours of goodies on them. Good stuff.

Every new trailer I watch for MGS4 makes me want to play it that much more.

...and then I realize that I don't have a PS3, nor the money to buy one.

Thinking about getting Rainbow Six: Las Vegas.
Something I should be aware of? :D

Fahrenheit is really cool, too bad it's so short!
But the way they made the game, it has a great re-playing value, I think.
And some of the monster-dodging parts were quite hard.

Bioshock playing hours: 24.
I just looooove this game!
It is marvellous
I get goosebumps always when I hear Big Daddy's deep howl echoing in the halls.. :D
Just awesome!

lol! Yeah I heard Heavenly Sword was a let down aswell. The game is pretty short and the A.I is pretty staright forward, not much of a challenge.

It seems to happen more and more with games now, the makers make them to easy and to short...like they dont really care anymore. I've seen alot of decision about the debate and with all the new releases it does seem to be happening quite alot. Even Gears of War wasn't that hard on "Insane", and I'm sure Halo 3 is just the same.

But there are some games which dont seem to be following suite so its not all bad. Mass Effect seems to be a real challenge along with the new Call of Duty 4. If you remember playing Call of Duty 2 and 3, they were fucking insane...I mean it took me an hour just to pass the first level on COD2 on the hardest difficulty thats how hard games should be, so frustrating that just as your about to finish the level a guy will come back from the dead and shoot you in the ass, then you just feel like throwing you're console into the TV.

anyone interested in the new Conan game from Thq
its coming out the 23rd of october, or is already out if your in Europe

it basically looks like the gameplay is similar to God of War, but the theme is Conan
on ps3 and 360, and it looks to be a pretty fun hack and slash game

beyond that... mass effect, lost odyssey, infinite undiscovery...

That's how I see things too. And the few online games with some story are usually ruined then by annoying people. Kojima behind MGS4 once stated that the power of a good story can't be underestimated. His opinion is that there's nothing wrong in somewhat guiding the player through a game. When done skilfully it can make the player more emerged compared to being the unseen hero in many FPS.
I actually agree with him.

I play Bioshock on the pc. I can't get myself to buy a 360 when I have 10 million other consoles lying around the house.
