The Beach so boring, could not watch it in one go and plenty fastforward too... Made me want to go to Thailand though, been there couple of years ago and it was nice.

For all you care, our record could be Pip fartin' on a snare drum!

Don't know if anyone remembers it, but last night I watched the original animated G.I.Joe: The Movie from 1987. It may have starred Don Johnson, but it had multiple occasions of Sgt. Slaughter beating giant bugs in the face with his gun.

Daybreakers It offered somewhat of fresh take on vampire movies and some (if few) gory bits too, but still maybe should have waited for it's release on dvd and save a few euros instead of seeing this in theatre. Average, popcorn was good though

Went to see Avatar last night. Visually and musically amazing, but the plot was pretty rubbish. Also there were a couple of things that really ground my gears, like using the Papyrus font for the subtitles. $270m and they couldn't afford to create their own font for the movie?!

Saw Sherlock Holmes today. Guy Ritchie has turned this character to almost modern action hero type, and IMO Ritchie nails it good. After couple of dissapointing movies from him this was very refreshing, and Robert Downey is spot on for this role as Law is too. Good job sir.

I agree. Visually the movie was a masterpiece, plot wise it needed work. Really nothing but an eye-candy movie. Was nice to see a good sci-fi movie though.

Watchmen

Cool story. I loved the switching between 'normal' story-telling and then BAM gorefest in my face. :D

Watched that online the other night and was pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable it was!

We also watched Up In The Air, which I loved. Clooney is really, really good in it. I can see why it got the praise it did.

And we saw the Book of Eli in the cinema, and by Murphys Law, the one we paid to see was the worst by a mile...

While I enjoyed avatar fine (and hey, anyone who fully realizes a world gets credit in my book) if you want to see a truly good Sci-Fi movie see Moon.

It was #3 on my top ten movies of the year... and I watch a lot of movies.

I really wanted to see Moon but it was only on in the stupid-expensive Omniplex in Cork and I was rather broke at the time. Seemed like a really good concept, and I think Sam Rockwell's great...

You're funny. That movie is going to be a mountain of crap.

EDIT: Leech see it by any means possible, it's destined to be the sadly forgotten movie of the year, and that's a damn sad thing.
