I hear that, snooker is awesome.

Does this count as a stick? I'm relatively proficient at using it to tickle balls down to fine leg.

Just read that Casey Stoner is going to retire after the current MotoGP season. That's... quite a surprise.

Positive feelings from ice hockey. It's been quite a while, I have to say.

Well, you two rather jinxed that one, didn't ye! Poor Finland...

As for the NHL, the L.A. Kings are rather impressively steam-rolling everything and everyone in sight this year... Devils and Rangers has the makings of a good series alright but the Coyotes look dead anyway. Some of the magic of these Playoffs went away with the Capitals. They were epic this year. Their two series' were the best of the bunch.

Cruel end to the season for us Tottenham fans. Hit hard by horribly bad form (whether you can blame that on the FA for the way they handled the England managerial appointment I don't know...), but managed to cling on to fourth, only to not be rewarded with Champions League football... and worse case scenario; lose our top players, not have the prestige/money to pull in replacements, and fade away into mid-table obscurity right when we have the best chance in over 50 years as a club to push towards winning the title once again. God damn.

Gotta hand it to Chelsea though.

If Chelsea don't keep Drogba and Di Matteo, they're fucking eejits. That was insane!!

I'm not sure if whether it'll be Drogba's choice to leave though. If he does, he can say "My last kick of the ball as a Chelsea player, won the Champions League", lol.

I can't decide who should win swagger of the night... Neuer for that penalty he scored on what looked like 10 seconds notice or Michael Essien for grinding Chelsea's female physio on camera in the background of Frank Lampard's post-match interview. Heroics all around.

Edit:
Also.

Oh christ that game hurt... It wasn't even that one-sided as the score might make you think. Vehanen had an off-day and Malkin destroyed us.

Yes. Astounding, the speed with which that one went to hell.

Pretty much. The whole 2010-2011 season was amazing, not just for Team Finland but also for my beloved Ilves. Then this season it all pretty much just crashed and burned.

Nik Lidstrom is apparently going to be announcing his retirement at some point today. Sad times for hockey lovers...
