We were the only people to sit through the whole of the credits for that tiny clip at the end of Iron Man 2.

I seem to have missed the point slightly. Where as it's getting 4 and 5 star reviews everywhere, all I saw was an arbitrary collection of scenes ripped off from other movies and video games held together with terrible acting, no storyline or plot progression, unlikable characters and some of the worst special FX I've seen in a mainstream movie in about a decade.
There's the hallway scene from Equilibrium, Kick Ass lives in Peter Parkers house (I'd almost swear I saw Raimis Oldsmobile parked outside at one stage) The Chopper/Gattling Gun scene from the Matrix, set piece KOs from Ong Bak and Prince of Persia, the fuckin' kid tries to quote Jack Nicholson the list goes on and on. At one stage they basically copied Annakin Skywalkers death scene from Return of the Jedi shot for shot with different dialogue.
I may be wrong, but to me, this film is a classic example of a glorified piece of shit.
It wasn't even any fun to watch. One second you think it's alright to relax and switch your brain off and enjoy yourself, the next thing you know there's an eleven year old girl getting kicked in the face by a character that had played the Coward up until that point.
Ugh, I gotta go shake the feeling this garbage has left me with.
I think Dead or Alive should do the trick. When all else fails, there's always Takeshi Miike.

And I am a fan of good comic movies but this one seriously missed the mark.
It's one thing to make a game or comic and to throw a bunch of scenes from famous movies in there but to do it with another movie is just ridiculous. Not sure about the comic but there is no story or character progression either.
Main character starts off as a hopeless fuck up. Ends the film as a hopeless fuck up and also a liar.
Hit girl is built up as a monster then gets bitch slapped to the ground by a character that spent the majority of the film cowering in fear and has to be saved by the fuck up.
I won't even get started on the Nicholson quoter. He literally had to beat the line out of his own mouth.
Basically, nothing in this film felt like it happened for a reason. It just happened for the sake of happening and to get the writers out of all the corners they wrote themselves into. I see what they were trying to do, but they failed miserably.
Also Nic Cage comes across a little to Paedo-tastic in this one. In addition to the fact he can't act. At all.
