Inception.

I'm surprised no one on this forum has done anything with the concepts of being awake :P

But maybe I'm just too big of a Dev nerd not to

I also saw Inception a week ago on opening night.

Verdict: Go see this now. Now... NOW! What are you waiting for?!

Just finished watching it, and fully agree with you. Loved the music as well.

I'm glad the good word of Moon is being spread. I was championing the film months ago, and I really think it was the single greatest oscar snub (as in, no recognition for anyone).

I mean, Sam Rockwell should've at least been nominated. I'm not saying he had to win the Oscar, but he deserved to be up there with Colin Firth and George Clooney (as in the only other two who deserved nominations in the best actor category)

EDIT: Jeff Bridges WAS good in Crazy Heart, and I love him dearly, but that was a legacy Oscar if I've ever seen one.

Huzzah for more Moon love. I fully agree that Rockwell should have at least been nominated, and was a strong candidate to actually win the thing. The Academy really dropped the ball with that one.

They're afraid of indie films, methinks. Unless it's Danny Boyle (rigged I maintain). At least Moon got high Sundance praise, that's generally the sign of a worthwhile experience. The soundtrack does make a great ambience for reflecting on a winter's night.

Different note, saw Splice tonight, found it interesting. More tame on the horror front than I anticipated (still, plenty of violence to be had), and some of the CG was pretty evident (but not all, and there was a good mixture with practical), but it had a good story, an intriguing concept, and some good plot twists. Adrien Brody was great as always, and Sarah Polley has given a character more memorable than her Dawn of the Dead role. Great to see how both their personas (and their creation) evolve throughout. Worth seeing, 7.5/10.

I had been meaning to see Moon for ages, I've heard it's so good. Then of course, I totally forgot about it. Will probably watch it tonight :D

I'm in the process of watching The Castle, if you are Australian, you need to see The Castle.
It's so fucking funny.

I got to watch that once in high school. I totally understand that it's a parody of our culture and the associated stereotypes etc, I just never really found it to be that funny.

Maybe I just need to wait until I'm older and wiser to watch it again :D

There's just something about it which I find hilarious, like this line:

"He say he got friend, I say I got friend who come to your house, put bomb under your car and BLOW YOU TO FUCKING SKY.
I don't really have friend, but I'm Arab, everyone thinks I have bomb."

I watched it with my family, and there were times I was pissing myself laughing at something everyone else thought was pretty ordinary.
