Jonah Hex Now, comic isn't familiar to me so I really can't say how well this manages compared to it, but got the feeling that this could have been much more. While better than expected (reviews are mostly crushing) still nothing special, not enough to get into my collection anyway. Also watched Ninja, supposedly lead actor played in Wolverine... Oh yeah, Weapon XI, so that wasn't Ryan Reynolds then. Anyhoo, even this trivia is more interesting than movie...

True Grit

Fuck, the Coens have done it again! Every award it gets at the Oscars will be well deserved.

Black Swan

Perfect date movie. It has all the right amounts of claustrophobic tension, believable performances, and a beautiful score. Aronofsky has really delivered here.

The Social Network
Great movie - acting, script, soundtrack. I highly recommend.

Paranormal Activity 2
Not that great. I spent most of the time annoyed by every character, except for the dog.

127 Hours

Beautifully made and directed, and James Franco is totally convincing in his performance, being at turns funny, desperate, and moving. The oft-cited amputation is quite realistic, but I found the jarring camera work and reactions to be more gruelling than the blood. Still, the movie is ultimately an uplifting experience, and worth checking out.

Tangled - Okay, it's a Disney cartoon  but it was rather lovely to look at.

Old Hat, to many of you, I'm sure.
These are my first (probablistically) sober viewings of a couple of my favorites:
Donnie Darko: Evil bunny.
Monty Python and the Holy Grail: Evil bunny.
Bowling for Columbine: We are all bunnies.
Good night.

True Grit. Go see it. It is godly and I don't know of any other movie coming out this year that may even come close to being as good as this was. Hailee Steinfeld really was a revelation and Jeff Bridges is God (sorry, Morgan Freeman...) and Damon was excellent in spite of the moustache. :P It's just a damn brilliant movie and it is totally worth seeing on the big screen.

In my period of absence as well I just have to note that The Way Back was brilliant. I love me my journey movies. :D

I definitely wanna see that one. Won't be in theaters here untill next week. I loved the original True Grit with John Wayne but the Coen version should be a lot more badass though. And I love Jeff Bridges.

St. Trinians 2. Man, I thought the first one was terrible... this is 100 times worse. After watching the sequel the first one doesn't seem all that bad. What a waste of an evening.

Sherlock Holmes. My wife rented it. I watched with half an eye because Rob D Jr was in it and was astounded by how utterly shit it was. then the end credits came up, at last and i saw 'directed by Guy Ritchie' and realised I could have avoided wasting 2 and a half hours of my life if I'd seen that at the beginning.

I hear 'Let Me In' is very good as remakes go.

Expendables, this time bluray and as for the movie there's nothing new to say (except: REMEMBER THIS SHIT IN CHRISTMAS!!!). But is there such a thing as too good picture quality, with full HD image is so sharp that in some scenes I was feeling that I'm not watching movie but instead some celeb home video... (Shot full HD of course). I mean, shouldn't movie have that just slight fuzzy and grainy look instead of sharpness where you can see every pore of skin  Maybe it's just me, I'll stop now.

Been on an old-school Friday the 13th tear.

Yes, they're awful/campy, but they're by far my favorite of the 80s horror flicks outside of The Evil Dead series.
