Going back to some stuff I missed out on first time around - I picked up both Uncharted games this week and I'm about a quarter of the way through the first game. How did I not hear about it until the sequel came out?

Ordinarily I'm not a big fan of being kept on the rails, but the set pieces, puzzles and shoot-em-up sections are such a blast that I don't care at all.

omg!!! I wanted to go online with my xbox 360 today and was denied access and was told to change my gamertag! that would be funny but I would not be surprised to see them swing the ban hammer then! And they "probably" wouldn't give me my xbox live subscription money back either!

I used to play so many video games. Console gaming is far inferior to PC gaming.
I don't really anymore, not now that I have a Mac.

Console gaming is definately gaining ground on PC game, and thats for sure.
As fewer and fewer big AAA games are released for PC, and most of them being ports or being ported to consoles, the only true holdout is in mmo's and strategy games.
We are not so far off from console games being played with a mouse and keyboard.
I could definately see it as the next video game generation, where pc is the inferior one.

I'm so used to gamepads now that it feels natural to me to play a FPS with it. I guess it is easier to aim with a mouse but controling a character works much better with a gamepad, in my opinion. Aside from that I just think it's more comfy and I like the fact that you don't have to do any hardware upgrades when it comes to consoles, unless you need a bigger harddrive but that is about it. Having that said, it is true that strategy games work much better on a PC. I only played Halo Wars on my 360 but I can already tell that a gamepad wasn't made to be used for RTS games.

good news for all you PS3 owners...Mass Effect 2 will be released for PS3 in January 2011

That is good news, maybe the elevator scene in the first Mass Effect wouldnt have been so long, if played on the powerful PS3..
That being said, my first generation xbox died last week of the red ring of death... its so old it had no hdmi port or anything.
It even outlasted my ps3, which i bought a year later. The ps3 got the faulty bluray drive.

it's a little silly though because ME2 is sooooo much better when you can import your ME1 character into the game, plus all the story decisions from ME1. Alas for PS3 owners, Microsoft published the first ME game so I guess it's not gonna see a PS3 release ever.

Resistance 3 has been officially announced....yay!!! I'm very much looking forward to that game!

Well maybe when the third one comes out, they will make a huge special bundle with the first one included.
