It won't be for a good while, I had it sent to my mother's house because I didn't know where I'd be staying at the time of ordering.

I was expecting much better and I'm fairly reluctant to fork out the €50 for it... Tempted instead to get the two Drake games or something. I dunno. Need something to keep me going till Dead Rising 2 now... Nothing truly epic to look forward to till AssCreedBro'hood and New Vegas pop up in a few months.

I have, however, become an almighty Super Smash Bros. Brawl fanboy. Can't get enough of that game! Who'd have thought the characters of Kirby could be so bad-ass.

You can get those Drake games cheap as chips now and they're worth the money!

I just got an iPhone 4 so I'm going crazy with the apps/games right now.

I'm finally getting an xbox! My work is having a sale and they've got elites cheap, so I'm going in tomorrow between lectures to pick one up. :D

Still playing Castlevania Harmony of Despair, and more recently the paid for extended demo that is Dead Rising 2 Case Zero. Fun stuff, it's Dead Rising through and through. The combo weapons are awesome. Definitely made me anxious enough to go pre-order the full game.

Also pre-ordered Castlevania Lords of Shadow. Cannot wait for that.

after I got all achievements in Mafia 2 now (looking for tittie mags was particularily fun), I started to really get into Darksiders. And I'm really digging it a lot. It's like God of War meets Prototype meets friggin' Zelda. Quite addictive game. The puzzles are really cool too. And there's lots to explore. You can revisit all the dungeons and find treasure chests the more upgrades you get throughout the game, just like in Zelda. A pretty cool open world too and I love the creature design.

aaaaand the next Mass Effect 2 add-on will be released on Tuesday. I'm VERY much looking forward to that because I'm pretty sure it will be the best DLC for ME2 yet.

oh...and Halo Reach next week!!!!

Probably will be the best ME2 DLC yet. Since I'm such a Mass Effect nerd, I read the third book in the series bridging the second and third games. I can say right now, the story in the third game is going to have some insane twists.

Also, Reach coming out soon is not good for me financially :|

My thoughts exactly. I spent so much money today, and by the end of the week I have to buy a respectable (which always translates into expensive) outfit and a birthday presents for two friends...I don't think much game buying will be going on on my end for awhile :(

My Xbox red-ringed the other week. Now I can play a game for 5 minutes if I've left it off for a while, but once it heats up, I get graphical corruption on the screen, and it hangs.

I might be moving to the States soon though, so I think I'll just take the hard-drive with me and get one of those new shiny Xboxes on the other side.

Also looking forward to Halo: Reach. I've not read the novels, but friends have given me the jist of some of the Halo backstory, so I'm really looking forward to seeing the earlier parts of the story.

I dont think the old school harddrives we all have will work with the new ones...though the data transfer cables that Microsoft can give you might work.

Yeah I was counting on the data transfer cable working.
I wouldn't want to use the old hard-drive with a new Xbox anyway. My Xbox dates back to 2006, so the hard-drive is 15-20GB (whatever the original ones came with).

If this all pans out well, I'm looking forward to using Netflix. Over here in the UK, we only get Sky TV on the Xbox, which is nowhere near as good as Netflix.

the 'Lair of the Shadow Broker' DLC for Mass Effect 2 is great. It's definitely fan service. You get the actual mission, a little new area that you can come back to and do things, etc. The fact that Liara is part of it and the whole Shadow Broker subject makes it even better since fans, such as me, have been wondering who he/she/it (won't spoil it) is since Mass Effect 1. And yes, there is an answer to it....so download it if you got ME2 to find out! :P Absolutely worth it and as expected it is the best ME2 DLC yet.

Oh and finally it's a ME2 game with more than 2 achievements and you can actually get 200 points out of it, I think. One of the achievements requires you to play through the add-on on extreme or insane difficulty so that adds replay value as most people probably won't play through it on that difficulty on their first try.

It's been awhile since I've been here, and I'm not quite Octillus, but I just finished Other M this evening, so I'll give you my immediate thoughts. It was so-so: a bit below the usual Metroid standard. The gameplay is hit and miss, but when it works it's a hell of a lot of fun, and I think it's best described as an old-style Metroid on steroids. It's a bit easy most of the time, because you can spam the dodge/shoot buttons and end up alright, and all the items blink at you so you don't have to look too hard. One thing I really dislike is the environments--it suffers from that look-you-have-a-nice-big-3D-environment-but-actually-you're-confined-to-a-rectangular-room-with-invisible-walls syndrome.

And the story is really pitiful (the voice acting is probably the worst I've ever heard in a game, and the dialogue physically hurts--but of course, you can't skip the cutscenes). Some of the bosses are really quite tedious and significantly more difficult than the rest of the gameplay, but overall, I'd say the game well worth a play through. It's addictive, and doing fancy kills of enemies is very satisfying. I don't know if it's worth $50, but it's a pretty good game.

But my favorite Metroid ever is Metroid Prime, so maybe I'm not the best judge.

that is sort of what I expected. I guess I'll end up buying it anyways so it's not missing in my Metroid collection, considering I'm a bit of a fan (even got a fancy Samus resin statue, heh) but it's good to hear some thoughts on the game! Cheers!

Only having sampled some story as I've seen online, it is bad, but we're all just spoiled by Bioware and Rockstar these days, seems like it's just very "HEY THIS IS A VIDEO GAME STORY" but whatever. I play Metroid games to explore at my own pace, even if it's a little easy, that's okay, Symphony of the Night had bad voice acting, pointed out save points and all kinds of other stuff and that's a top 5 game of all time for me, sure it might be a little dated now, but this is the kinda game I love to play, so yes I am still excited.

On a side note, working doing promotions for Sony now, I'll let y'all know how the Move plays as long as it's not some sort of non-disclosure kinda deal but if I figure if it's just about launch titles it'll be okay. As far as being a traitor, well, I do have to eat and I haven't had any Nintendo work since May. And my household does have all 3 systems, and they all get played equally, except for the 360 being our media center.
