Funny thing is, I had never even heard of it... My wife and daughter saw an ad for it, and thought it looked cool. I'm not a big horror fan myself, and
I especially don't care much for gore, so this was a pleasant suprise. No gore at all, just super-natural stuff. I recently began going to art school, and I am
majoring in digital film making, and I thought this movie was very well done. I guess it had a very modest budget, but I didn't notice anything cheap about it
at all.

And the soundtrack was awesome, as well. And the composer actually plays the main demon! (Worthless nerd trivia) :)

I will anxiously await Bluerajas' review. I know she likes horror flicks. :D

Oh, don't do that. My reviews are mostly comprised of "I liked it" or "I did not like it". Big yawn. :P

Also, Olivia Wilde? PHWOOOOOOOOAR!

Yes and YYYYESSS!!!

Anyone watched the first two episodes of Game of Thrones? I am absolutely LOVING it and my eyeballs are screaming in anticipation of the next episode.

Game of Thrones!!! Loving it! 'The Imp' gets all the best lines, doesn't he? Cannot wait for Monday nights now.

Completely deserved too I reckon, as Peter Dinklage is an excellent actor. I love the character, absolutely steals every scene he's in! Bring on episode 4!!

I saw the two first episodes. I love the opening sequence, so beautiful!
The actors are trully amazing, especially the Imp (as said before) and the younger daughter Stark!
We need more fantasy / medieval shows!!!

There's a lot of good actors in the show all round - Addy and Bean are always watchable. That wee girl is particularly good though. Also there's a sense of recognition for me because as a kid I always ran around with wooden swords and bows & arrows. Just, not a long dress to go with it. :P

Game of Thrones is fucking brilliant. Glad Peter Dinklage is getting so much love for it. He's been the standout character by a mile thus far. It's going to drive me to finally start reading the series, which I've been putting off for half a decade because there's nothing I hate more than the wait between books, and the Song of Fire and Ice series usually has huge gaps between the books recently. There was 3 books in 4 years, between '96 and 2000, but then a 5 year gap to A Feast for Crows which was released in 2005 and then a 6 year gap until A Dance With Dragons, which is out in July. Couldn't help but tune into the show though. It just looked soooooo good... But god only knows how long it'll take for the last two books in the series to come out... Hopefully not ten years. :?

Thor Fresh from theatre, I loved it. Chris Hemsworth nails this perfectly, actually only actor I didn't much care about was Natalie Portman (she's cute and totally fuckable but....). Let's hope that future Avengers movie doesn't suck. Really.

Made in Sheffield - documentary about the Britain's Sheffield music scene. Got spoiled with good documentaries a bit lately so it was pretty much a dissapointment. Expected to see more interesting stuff about Cabaret Voltaire or Clock DVA, not some not very riveting info on crappy, short lived local bands. Also pretty awful production values, looked cheaply shot and interviews had microphones placed in weird spots so it was hard to understand people sometimes.

On the other hand, Heavy Metal Britannia and that Dunlop's documentary about wah pedal were pretty cool.

Just saw Hanna. Fairly boring, plot is crap, acting is barely at decent levels.. Saoirse Ronan's grand in it and there was a few funny moments but the action scenes weren't great and it's nothing special at all overall. I was expecting great things and it really disappointed. Avoid...

Thor. Enjoyable romp. Everybody else up above has already said enough about it really.

This was the first 3D movie I've ever seen. ... I hope it's the last. My eyes and head still haven't recovered. The only part of it that actually benefited from the 3D was the ending, where the camera was taking us gracefully through the stars and cosmos.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.

It was mostly rad, amazing even, till it completely fell apart in the third act, IMO. Seems like it was going to have some sort of central theme or message or point, but I'm left wondering what I should feel or take from it, and characters kinda stopped acting like themselves and just kinda DID things...

It was still a good movie and I don't regret my viewing.

Arghh, I have to go see this at 10 tomorrow morning! It will also be my first 3D movie, if you don't include the little 10 minute 3D segment from A Nightmare On Elm Street 7 (was it 7? so long ago).

Oh.. please don't let my whining put you off! I probably just have weird eyeballs that don't appreciate 3D. :P
