This was the first 3D movie I've ever seen. ... I hope it's the last. My eyes and head still haven't recovered. The only part of it that actually benefited from the 3D was the ending, where the camera was taking us gracefully through the stars and cosmos.

Arghh, I have to go see this at 10 tomorrow morning! It will also be my first 3D movie, if you don't include the little 10 minute 3D segment from A Nightmare On Elm Street 7 (was it 7? so long ago).

Oh.. please don't let my whining put you off! I probably just have weird eyeballs that don't appreciate 3D. :P

No no, my Arghh is that I have to BE at the theater at 10. On a Sunday morning.

It was 6, actually.
I saw Thor in 2D; I don't care for 3D anymore after Alice in Wonderland, although it did work for Avatar in IMAX.

Million Dollar Baby. Amazed I hadn't seen that film until tonight, but it was very well told, dark, and quite moving. Good ending as well.

Thor (2d) was an alright Blockbuster kind of movie.
Good summer fun with the kids kinda stuff.
Not much else to say though... trailer for Green Lantern was horrible, trailer for Captain America looks promising.

Green Lantern is the sort of story I would have loved to see as a movie as a kid, so here's hoping it turns out ok.

The Worlds Fastest Indian

Good movie and a great story. Anthony Hopkins does a brilliant job yet again. Gotta give him credit for at least trying to get the Kiwi accent right. I'm Australian so I shouldn't really be commenting on it, however he got pretty close imo. Plus he plays as a mighty speed freak and doesn't bite anyone's face off which is a nice change :D .

Oh, SURE. Just 'cause he has nice thighs. And pecs. And biceps. And eyes. Well, hell, I may have just made myself gay!

*waits for Dan* ... :P

We don't have a TV thread but Game of Thrones was discussed here before so I shall say this here that if anyone else who can't handle the waiting would like to raid HBO, I'M GAAAAAME. Seriously. The wait between weeks is feckin' killing me! Watched the fourth episode last night and it continued to be all kinds of awesome and the ending was the most frustrating cliff-hanger yet. NEED MOAR.

Saw Thor and was surprised how much I enjoyed it.

I knew it would be the sort of thing I liked but it turned out to be one of the better ones from the crop of super/fantasy/hero/comic/adaptation movies over the last few years. Who saw that coming.....

Oh, I remember that one. It was indeed quite good.
