I saved every single survivor in my playthrough and did not get the achievement for saving 50 survivors and I was like 'whaaaaa???'. Turns out there's 3 or 4 hidden survivors and that rescue mission can only be activated during a certain time frame...awesome...that is kinda hard to figure out without checking online. Anyways, I hope I'll manage to do it next time AND I want to fight Slappy again...fun game!

You dont have to get the S ending...or even save Katey. I love that the game gives you choices on what you can and want to do!

oh, I know...I just wanted to get the S ending. I got a neat body armor as a reward for that. Plus you get the overtime achievement. So next time I'll try to save 50 survivors...was short of 3 survivors in my first playthrough, meh!

still playing the shit out of Dead Rising 2 and still loving it. I managed to save 62 survivors and get every single psychopath killed with an S ending in my last playthrough...not quite perfect though as there's a total of 65 survivors. But them damn 3 hookers didn't want to spawn, meh. There's lots of cute hidden stuff and side missions in that game...even strip poker and you can unlock the entire ghouls 'n goblins armor, etc. etc. . I love this game!

Well, and because of Dead Rising 2 I put Dead Rising 1 into my 360 again and well...I forgot how awful the gemeplay is. The game would be soooooo much more awesome if the gameplay was the same as in Dead Rising 2 but a lot just feels wrong in DR1. In DR2 when a zombie grabs you it is definitely your own fault. In DR1 on the other hand you get grabbed much more often because of the flawed controls. I think the only reason why DR1 is such a hard game is because of its gameplay. So I'm glad that aspect was so greatly improved in DR2.

oh and I played the Castlevania demo....visually it's VERY impressive. It's absolutely beautiful. But it everything felt really narrow...not much freedom at all. And I don't know if it's just the demo but it didn't have that Castlevania feeling. I don't know why but it sort of felt like a different franchise. Of course that could just be the demo. But the demo was pretty cool despite that.

I also played the 'The Forced Unleashed 2' demo. Looks way better than the first game but it appears to be essentially the same game as the first one. But I will admit that I enjoyed the story of TFU way more than the story of Episode 1-3 combined. So I might end up picking up part 2 too.

That first one was awesome. It was really well-written, and just a lot of fun to play. I'm looking forward to the 2nd one.

I recently bought Final Fantasy 13 and Red Dead Redemption, and have about 5-7 hours in each as of now.

RDR is tons better than the last GTA, my only complain so far is it seems a bit slow-paced.

But then i tried FF13... and this is a weird one. The story and the caracters, they are traditionnal jrpgs...
the gameplay is where it turns weird, the linearity, and the battles : where you always go along a straight line, and where non boss battles are basically a joke.
Bosses are cool though, i like how you have try all the different roles and attacks to finally make it work.

Anyways once im done with these, its on to Dead Rising 2!

My roommate's 360 red-ringed yesterday. Well, it kind of red-three-quarter-circled. Anyway, sad news, as I don't think it's under warranty anymore.

if you are lucky you can still find xbox 360 arcades at great discount, the older model i mean.
My xbox red ringed as well, and i bought a replacement xbox 360 arcade for 100$, and popped it my hard drive.

There are also some people who repair them... but they always seem fishy to me

Just try contacting microsoft anyway (calling them, and being persistent til you get a representative), they kinda boxed themselves into a corner with their faulty product (hey, i own one too) don't say the warranty's up, just tell them you're unsure, and see if they don't send you a repair box anyway.

there's a 3 year warranty on the red ring of death anyways so maybe your roommate is lucky. But yes, I'd be persistent anyways and insist on them fixing it. It's a widely known problem anyways.

Or you can always tell them you're going to trash it and get a PS3. They'll usually fix it at that point.

I got the full Ghouls 'N Goblins armor in Dead Rising 2 now and it's really funny...it's like in the old GnG games where you took a few hits and then the armor breaks and you are wearing nothing but undies. It's exactly the same thing once you own and are wearing the entire armor, including the beard, heh. A pretty cute Capcom idea!

edit: read some reviews for Fallout: NV. Sounds like most reviews suggest that it really just feels like a big Fallout 3 add-on plus I read that there's a ton of bugs that mess things up a lot. And I read that there will be a DLC pack released around Christmas so all that basically confirms my feelings that I'll rather wait for the Game of the Year edition that will be released anyways. I prefer to have DLC's on disc, especially when it's lots of big DLC packs, and I hope the Game of the Year version of the game won't have any of the bugs anymore.

Wow thats annoying, it seems worst than what i saw in Fallout 3...
You'd think they'd have learned from the previous one.
Any words on if its worst on a ps3 or xbox?

I don't understand why they didn't just put more time into the final tweaks of the game...New Vegas had gold status quite a while ago already and they could have used the time they still had to get rid of at least some of the bugs, and there seem to be a lot of them in this game. Would have even been OK to delay its release. I'd rather have a game without too many bugs a little later than expected than a game with a ton of bugs in it. But oh well...

I got all single player achievements in Dead Rising 2 now, even got the Genocide Master achievement. So I hope I'll be able to get some of the multiplayer achievements too.
