Oh it absolutely is, I never denied that. I hate opinions stated as fact, and so I really am being a hypocrite here, and I fully admit it. I still can't wait for the movie industry to crash like the music industry has because of increased spending on gimmicks such as 3D and films without anything other than eye candy and constant stimulus.

Sorry, I had no idea I was doing anything wrong by stating how much I hate all of these films, especially the ones put together by Michael Bay and Zack Snyder (after the dawn of the dead remake I had such high hopes :()

I do think that the love of these films and First Person Shooters and constant adrenaline addiction does cheapen both of the mediums as a whole and makes the western world seem like it's living out some adolescent bs fantasy. Which I'm guilty of often myself. I'm just tired of it being considered the leading form of entertainment. Extremely tired.

Hostage Being the Bruce Willis fanboy I am, this movie was pretty awesome. It got ridiculous at some points though, which detracted from its otherwise credible premise.

The Pentagon Papers The story of Dan Ellsberg, who revealed classified information about US involvement in Vietnam. Very timely considering the Wikileaks situation nowadays.

Death of a President Hooooly... all I can say is: You. Need. To. See. This. Movie.

Carnal Knowledge- Jack Nicholson and Art Garfunkel are best friends. That should be enough of a selling point right there!

It just kind of goes through 20 years of the two guys and there relationships with people. It was pretty honest, although a bit dated, but it was pretty good. Not to mention it gave me two new phrases "Bullshit artist!" and "I wouldn't kick her outta bed". It's on Netflix, if anyone wants to check it out.

Anuvahood

While I thought it was fricking hilarious, I think the regional humour might be lost on anyone outside of London, let alone the UK :P It's the most accurate portrayal of South London I ever did see though, if anyone wants to check it out...and you might wanna put subtitles on :P

Green Lantern.

It SUCKED SO DAMNED HARD. Jesus, what a SHIT movie. Shit effects, shit acting, shit characters, shit plot, shit dialogue. Worst movie of the year for me, and I'm generally pretty tolerant when it comes to Marvel/DC movies. What a waste of a superhero.

Haven't seen it, but from what I've seen the effects look HORRIBLE! Way too shittily overdone. I could tell it was gonna be an hour and change worth of masturbational effects.

They're really distracting... it's like the director had these ideas in his head, then decided to create them painting on the screen with highlighter markers.

Oh, and the Top Gun/Flying High/Airplane-style scene is so cringeworthy, it's astonishing. Even Tim Robbins sucks in this movie.

Ok, I'll stop. :P

Transformers 3 Didn't really expect anything and still got less. New biaatch is repulsive with her overgrown lips and generally very pointless character. Also some recycled sfx... Megatron looked pretty nice with it's truck mode, Mad Max 2 comes to mind and for that I give one shiny star.

Horrible Bosses. It was pretty good, not the funniest movie I've seen this year but good for a laugh. I'm a Charlie Day fan from It's always Sunny, plus Bateman from Arrested Development fame, so I made an effort to check it out.

ARGH! Computer just wiped my 5 reviews! Piece of crap! I need to break something...

To summarise.

Win Win - sweet small own movie. Giamatti good as always.

Rango - Looks gorgeous. Great quirky sense of humour. Soundtrack very good. Watch it.

Cedar Rapids - Another sweet small town movie. Not much of a plot but great acting from an awesome cast. John C Reilly is a god.

Hall Pass. Owen Wilson plays Owen Wilson... again. Typical average Farrelly Bros movie. Some funny moments and lots of meh.

Transformers 3 - Better than 2, not as good as 1. 3d not as good as I had hoped. But it made Bay slow everything down which made me happy. Shockwave was cool. The unrealistic wingsuit scene was retarded but all the action that followed was killer. Movie looks beautiful. I agree that the girlfriend was pointless, pouty and annoying. Pointless eye candy should at least good, no? Why does Soundwave still sound like Dr Claw instead of SOUNDWAVE!!?!

Soundwave superior!
Constructicons inferior!
