Printed it off, stapled it together, drew illustrations of bats and candy and monsters and stuff. Proudly took it to school this morning to show her teacher.
Teacher took me aside this afternoon and frostily informed me that this sort of thing was not accpetable. It is a Church of England school and there is no place for Halloween.
My jaw dropped. Suddenly Home Ed seems such a good idea again.
I will be watching with interest if they do Santa Claus, Easter Eggs and evolution.

Prime opportunity to slappabitch. That's completely fucking ridiculous...

Currently un-awesome annoyance is my mousepad on this new laptop deciding it reeeeeeeeeeeeeally likes just sticking to the farthest right eighth of the screen.

That's so ridiculous. I think I'd be pretty angry if I where in your shoes too.

Heat and humidity. It's getting over 30C, and it's still only late spring. The only relief I've had today was sudden torrential rains. At least I'm in a milder part of the country. Goddamn summer, rearing its ugly head. I'll have to savor the cooler season while I still can.

Look at some meat http://www.theglobeandmail.com/life/the ... le1793519/  I realized your name is quite close to finnish word ämpäri which is bucket in english.

It's goddamn winter here -2C, lot of snow and I love it! Hot weather just torture for me but sunny 10-20C is quite fine.

Hahahahhah, awesome. xD Maybe I should change my forum name. :P

Also.. Seeing meat calms you down huh... Weird!

Oh gosh darn it to heck, gone n got me one o' them computer infections.

Kinda stoopid really, I'm always so good at avoiding them. Just one lapse in brain-ness and I install something that should've been so obvious not to.

My first wife's maiden name sounded rather like bucket in English. Interestingly she never changed it back post -divorce. They never do, in fact.
All want the glory of the name association, can't handle the reality.
Or the girth.

gs48 wrote:Why don't they dot that? If talking in Finnish about Amber it's quite close.

eating donuts with Amber = donitseja syömässä Amberin kanssa
going to take bucket = aion ottaa ämpärin

Yeah very "interesting".. :D

 I attempted to learn Finnish a little awhile back. I kinda understood it, but the programme wasn't good at teaching you how to understand/think in the language, so it didn't really stick. :C

I stubbed my big toe this week-end while going, half asleep, for a drink of water in the middle of the night. About one fourth of the nail is gone, and walking is a pain since. I cant really recall how i managed to hit my toe so hard either...

Right now I'd put that in the opposite thread. Autotune is insanely helpful when you don't have a proper vocalist. But I suspect you're talking about T-Pain type straighten pitch and in that case; fucking auto-tune.

Its damn fun to mess around with though. Set up mic, add uber-compression, add sexy reverb, add uber-autotune, have voice in headphones loud enough so that you can't hear your actual voice, press record and sing like a robot pro.

Then, go back to the computer, bypass the autotune and listen to what you just did. It can be hilarious realising how off you actually were (due to not being able to hear yourself).
