Yeah it's an unfair comparison really. Mouse and keyboard just slays a control pad.

HOWEVER, there is much to be said for my combo of bean bag, Full HD telly, coffee table with beer and nibblies and my wife on the couch next to me.

Sometimes it's worth sacrificing a little fine control for some of life's other pleasures!

Bough Enslaved: Odyssey to the West today. I really dug the demo, and other people who have played it told me it was good. Will definitely hold me over for a bit, until Crysis 2.

I heard some things about Homefront as well. I guess the multiplayer is pretty shit but the story mode is great(though probably really short)

5 hours is what I heard...and if the multiplayer is shit then buying the game for the full price ain't an option for me personally. The graphics look real outdated too. Graphics aren't everything but when the campaign is very short and the multiplayer sucks then the game has to deliver in other aspects.

Yea, I'm going to hold off on it for sure. Especially considering how little time I spend on video games now with all the recording I do.

Personally I've never been able to get used to using a keyboard & mouse. I'll often just use a controller when I play pc games, if possible.

In terms of personal preference, sure... if it works better for you then it works better for you. I can't argue with that!

I meant more in terms of performance with FPS games. You can just do stuff with a mouse that you can't with a pad.

Yeah, I can see that.

The speed of the mouse can be very advanatgeous in games like that.

SC2 is brilliant. So beautifully balanced.

just a little reminder guys...anyone who owns a PS3 will be able to download the Mortal Kombat demo today (in America) and tomorrow in Europe. No idea about the rest of the world. It won't be available in Germany and Australia but it's easy enough to get around that problem by simply creating a fake foreign account.

well, I played the demo and it's awesome. It was already available for free on the US PSN yesterday so I created an American account, heh. This game will be awesome! It's fun, feels like an old-school MK game, the controls work well and the violence is over the top as expected. I'm gonna get the Kollectors edition for my birthday...yay!

I only owned and played MK 1-4 and the Trilogy and played a bit of Deception at a friend's place and must admit I also enjoyed MK3. But yeah, MK4 was a load of shit And the new one is at least as awesome as MK2. Stage fatalities are back too! Judging the trailer that is shown after you played through the demo, there may be a stage fatality for each of the stages. Seems like each character only has one fatality move though. I was hoping that each of them has at least 2 but maybe in the next game! Or maybe there's just one for each of them in the demo but more in the actual game. That's what I'm hoping for!

I think two would have been nice, but when you get over a couple, they start to lose personality. I HOPE Scorpion still tears out skeletons. BLEW MY MIND when I was a kid
