If i have to choose between pulling out the skeleton, or pulling his face off & burning you with fire breath, I pick #2

I absolutely loved the original MK. It was a genunely fun game, on top of the great graphics and hilarious gore. Lost interest soon after but I may actually be interested in this new one.

Scorpion FTW!

I've played MK, MK2 and MK3 to death. I remember not being able to look up all special moves and such on the internet in those days, so me and my brothers used to have a notepad next to the computer that if one of us actually stumbled across some new move we'd write it down for the others. Fatalities were a bitch to find out... I lost interest with MK4 and all subsequent crap, but this one seems pretty damn awesome again. :D

I think I owned all the relevant issues of gaming magazines with these moves. Can't even imagine being arsed to find them by myself.

I think I've murdered my joystick playing MK2 on mate's Amiga. That was definitely something :)

I used to call the hotlines for the fatality codes and always got into trouble because the phone bill was incredibly high because of that and my parents were pissed  Was totally worth it though.

Looks like I might be getting this baby for my birthday

Sorry to distract from all the MK talk, but I just got done with Beyond Good and Evil HD, what a brilliant gem of a game, definately as good as I remember. Though I can see how someone without the power of nostalgia goggles might not see what all the fuss is about.

That looks like more fun than Mortal Kombat VS Dc Universe.

I know it came out last year, but I finished Enslaved Odyssey to the West last night. The story and characters were extremely well thought out. The ending was awkward though. Provided closure to a degree, kind of left it open to a sequel, but I doubt that will happen. The first 2/3 of the game were far better than the last third though.

Crysis 2 is awesome so far. The gameplay is top notch, the visuals are superb. Not much for a story yet. An Alien Plague has hit New York City and you have to help/meet a scientist. That's all I've gotten so far...but dammit it's fun to play. I love that they actually give you the option to try and sneak through most sections or attempt to go all out(which will end with you being slaughtered quite quickly if you're not careful)

I also really like the way they implemented a subtle cover system that works very well. Crouch next to a barrier or stand near the corner of a wall and it will prompt you on a button press to lean out of cover. No sticky system, no switch to 3rd person perspective.

are you playing it on your 360 or PC? (did you notice how I did not include the PS3? heh) Just wondering if the visuals of the 360 version are stunning too. I don't want to upgrade my PC just for that game... ...so I ordered the 360 limited edition.

P.S.: I'm in an extreme Mortal Kombat mood now. I think I invested 12 hours into the demo, as sad as it is that I've done that  But it's soooo good. So I popped in the PS1 version of the Mortal Kombat trilogy. No chance....no chance. That game is just toooooooo hard. Even on very easy difficulty. No idea what Midway were thinking. Such a great game ruined by the extreme difficulty.

P.S.: Resident Evil 4 and Code Veronica will be re-released in HD for PS3 and Xbox 360...the package will be called 'Resident Evil Revival Selection'. That is good news to me because I'd love to replay Resident Evil 4 on the big LCD screen and the Wii version looks really bad on an LCD screen.

^ That's really good news, I'd love to play both of those RE games over.

And yes, I am playing Crysis 2 on 360. The game runs surprisingly smooth.

I did encounter a rather annoying bug that hopefully gets patched soon. Early on, when I would stop moving, my character would drift to the left for some reason. I haven't really noticed it since moving on a bit in the game, so hopefully it won't come back.

glad it runs smoothly. Not so happy about the bug but I heard all version have some technical issues, or at least the ones on console
