I was feeling comatose sunday, where even playing video game seemed like a chore, so movies ensued.

Your Highness, watched because of that shot of Portman in the thong.
The rest of the movie really was not worth it.

Men who stare at goats. Awesome cast, great easy vibe movie. Jeff Bridges is made of awesome.

Piranha : silly cheesy, not very good. It wasted the time I had to wast nicely though.

The Birdemic Rifftrax. Bloody hell, this is one of the best bad movies ever. Who wouldn't love to see endless parking shots and have themselves a party with NCT Software and stock options?

Mmmmm... Natalie Portman.

So yes. Movies. Finally saw X Men First Class. What a cool movie! It's all about the Fass. The man is a straight-up movie star. But WHO decided on Kevin Bacon? Wolverine had me chuckling too. Good line.

The Human Centipede 2
It was about what I expected: more full on in terms of violence, with minimal story and development. Still, while I like the idea of a maniac being inspired by, and even emulating a sick horror film, there seemed to be too much self-worship in the way it was directed. Didn’t much care for the final scene, either.
The film’s madman Martin certainly fits the bill, having no lines except for giggles and growls, and Laurence Harvey plays him believably. This installment is also tonally better than it’s predecessor. Having the film entirely in black in white (except for one sequence near the end) actually makes it more interesting and garish than if the gore had been displayed in full color. The fact that Six keeps his promise by making it far more ultra-violent is something to give him credit for.
Whether HC2 has any artistic merit is up to the viewer. It stands to reason that there might be some lunatic out there who might want to re-enact a human centipede for themselves, and without proper surgical training, they might have to resort to nastier ways of joining their centipede together. Of course, this is extremely far-fetched, but Six seems to know this, and you get the feeling he’s telling you this as you watch. Best viewed by fans of the original.

Now, let’s see if the government decides to be a pack of pussies and ban the film Monday (as it is up for review).

The Fighter.

The women in this movie! Oh my god the women! I wanted to tie them all up in a bag and throw them off a bridge. Revolting bunch of hags.

Marky Mark basically plays himself again but it's one of the "good" Mark Wahlberg-plays-himself movies this time. Christian Bale is brilliant. Just brilliant. The boxing choreography was surprisingly poor, I wonder if it was intended, like it was all part of Dicky's rose coloured version of events. Very Rocky-esque. Oh and the video style cinematography for some of the fight scenes was quite clever and really added to the late 80s / early 90s feel.

90-some minutes of puerile dick jokes.

Loved it. 8)

They're always talking about awesome the show is on Tell 'Em Steve-Dave. I really wanna check it out.

I watched Dead Man last night. I normally don't like Johnny Deep or westerns, but I dug this flick. I thought Gary Farmer was amazing, and Neil Young did a fantastic job with the soundtrack. Another win for Jarmusch!

If the muppets were ever part of your childhood, watch it.

It's not like... lifechanging or anything, but there will always be a special place in my heart for humor that works on all levels, at all ages.

It's cute as hell, and funny, and filled with muppet charm. I adored the fuck out of it.
