still got my NTSC version of that one too! Probably the best RE game ever to me personally. Wish it had gotten the same remake treatment that the Gamecube remake of Resident Evil 1 got. That would have been sweet! Instead they just released a 1:1 port of the old PS1 version on Gamecube, heh.
I actually sold all my Final Fantasy games. It took a while for me to accept that I'm just not into JRPGs anymore and don't really like the anime style at all anymore. I'm not saying I'm too old for it or anything...I just kinda moved on. Even sold my SNES Chrono Trigger. Still got that game for PS1 though.

As for the Duke, I think I'll wait untill it costs about 20 Euros new or less than that when it's a used copy. I'm not expecting a Call of Duke but I don't think I'd want to spend 50 to 60 Euros for it either.

Wish I could get myself to play Crysis 2 some more and finally finish it but the 4 to 5 hours I put into it were kind of boring :(

It gets a bit better later, (Crysis 2, that is). I'm much preferring Bulletstorm now, though.

yeah, Bulletstorm is pretty awesome! One thing I like in particular is that it's that type of game that you once in a while pop into your xbox just to have some mindless fun and it's fun each time again!

played through Tron: Evolution and enjoyed it. But I'm a fanboy so that doesn't really mean anything. Most people would probably hate it! :D It's kind of like a Price of Persia game set in the Tron world. Pretty mindless and it does get repetitive but I liked it.

And a few days ago I started to play The Godfather 2. What a piece of violent shit...and I mean that in the most positive way! Looks better and plays better than The Godfather 1 and the fact that you can hire made men adds a lot of fun to it too. So I'm digging it so far!

UNF.

Awesome. :D 'Bout fuggin' time as well!!

I finished L.A. Noire... Not sure how I felt about it. It was fun in many ways, but also really repetitive and Cole Phelps has to be the worst protagonist ever. Really didn't like the guy at all. I also couldn't understand why the "Doubt" function existed the way it did. If you use Doubt you're basically treating the person who's being questioned with as much hostility as if you say Lie, just without the evidence. It just made Cole seem even more like an unbalanced dick. The side missions were repetitive as well and I wasn't even bothered to play them all. Seeing as it has replay value in negative figures I'm trading it off in a minute and buying InFamous II...

pretty much agree. I don't think it has much replay value at all. Unless you go for that achievement where you need a 5 star rating for each case. But once you have that there really isn't any reason to go back. Thought it would be darker with a better story. It kind of seemed more like a good TV series than an awesome cinematic experience. And the ending was kinda 'meh' too. Despite all that I did enjoy it but the game could have been more than it was in the end

I was really hoping it'd have some sort of moral-based arc as well. I know that's everywhere nowadays but a good cop/bad cop choice could have made this game a lot better... Or at least it would've made it easier to get behind Phelps as a protagonist. As it is he's just an annoying git.

InFamous 2 is definitely a lot more fun. Even Yahtzee had good things to say about it, aside from the obvious moral choice system being flawed. All or nothing to either side, no middle ground.

No game has done "moral choice" as well as Fallout 3. BOOM. I said it.

Weeelllll, even there it's not perfect. The moral choices themselves were interesting enough (BURN HAROLD! ), but the karma system was weird. You could help someone with some trivial task and gain a big karma boost, and then pickpocket them and their friends to their underpants and not come away any more evil. I found it a bit of a strange balancing act.

I saw it as the system recognizing that it IS a wasteland, and that some things are a "necessary evil", and not an indicator of actual evil intention. But, that's just my take. Like, yeah, you might steal some shit sometimes, but you're striving to better life for the denizens of DC and all that, so you're good, not evil. I dunno.

Completely unrelated, but I thought I'd like Bioshock more than I do. The setting was promising, but it's too much of an FPS for me to find it very interesting to play through to the end.

Oh well, on to Burnout Paradise once I receive my replaced copy. Had to send the first one back as it was a faulty disc (new out of the box though).

Played the Witcher? Any of them? Fallout looks like a bunch of fairy tales with hamfisted morals compared to it.

Unless New Vegas does things differently - I'll check it soon, bought it on steam stale yesterday.

checked out Scarface for the original Xbox. Played it on my Xbox360. Who needs HD remakes when the original game supports 16:9 and 720p? Sweet! Being a huge Scarface fan, I'm pretty happy about it. The game seems fun so far too!

Has there been a better more ridiculous just fun out of the box game this generation? I kinda doubt it, unless we're including the Wii and Super Mario Galaxy in there.
