so it is done!

watched The return of the kizzle. Man was it awesome. The second half of the movie looks absolutely spectactular in HD. The whole epic battle with the oliphaunts....just wow.

And today I watched 'Brüno'. Yeah, might not be everyone's cup of tea but I love Sacha Baron Cohen to death. I watched it once again with the special audio-visual commentary on which makes the whole thing even more entertaining.

Starman.
It was a pretty good movie, really liked the pacing, and Jeff Bridges was buff back then, but still as awesome.

Inception.
I quite liked it but I was very sick when I saw it, so some stuff might have gone above my head. Another movie with a great pacing makeing a 2+ hour movie go very fast, and also the pacing helped get over some stuff they glanced over withouth any explanation.
Got me thinking about the fact that I never dream, or never recall any of my dreams...

Do you have a fairly staid sleeping pattern/schedule? That might be why you don't recall your dreams.

Conan the Barbarian Start is promising, young Conan proves to be a real badass but then it goes somehow wrong. Jason Momoa is actually quite good choice for the role but this movie just does not work way it supposed to, I mean that you can almost taste the potential and somehow thay manage to lose it. Average at best and original is still winner.

Bad Teacher Usually I don't dig Cameron Diaz that much, she has that Joker's sister look going on these days. But this wasn't too bad and definitely better than Conan.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes Although not that much fan of Planet of Apes series, this was surprisingly entertaining. Good job with facial expressions on apes, specially on Caesar. Recommended.

Not sure what staid is, but i have a very steady sleeping patterns, about 7 hours a night, always from about midnight to 7-7:30.
I sleep very soundly, and am difficult to wake up when sleeping. But honestly it's been like this all my life, and I'm 30, so my sleeping patterns changed over those years, and still never recall the dreams.

Tremors on Blu-Ray.

Having not seen it in perhaps a decade, I was glad to let myself go and enjoy a good ol' fashioned cheesy monster movie (there were a couple of jump moments that I had forgotten as well). It's still funny, the graboids look great, and the HD treatment is a beauty in both sound and image. Good for a lazy summer day/evening.

while the big forum outage kept me from this lovely place I gave myself a nice Bruce Campbell treatment. Watched Bubba Ho-Tep, My name is Bruce and Evil Dead 1-3 with Bruce Campbell's audio commentaries. So good. Dude's a fucking legend.

I also watched Polanski's The Ninth Gate. I'll skip the 'Polanski's a coward prick' speech because everyone knows that he's a coward prick. I can't help but love this movie though. I used to watch it often with my best friend around the same time as we played the Broken Sword games. Such fond memories. Anyways, a lot of people don't like this movie at all but it's probably one of my alltime favorites. The Blu-ray is pretty neat too. Plenty of bonus material and the picture quality has improved very much compared to any DVD release of this movie, even if it won't completely blow you away. But the DVDs really looked like crap.

Was in a Robert Rodriguez mood recently and watched From Dusk Till Dawn, the el Mariachi trilogy, Sin City, Grindhouse and Machete on Blu-ray. Such great flicks! I'm hoping for a Bad boys never die/Roadracers Blu-ray release. I know it is set to be released in the US in April but alas Echo Bridge will release it and their releases are usually not so great, to say the least.

Also watched Death Proof as part of the Grindhouse double feature and also watched Reservoir Dogs, both great flicks as well. So I guess that's the start of my Tarantino marathon. I'll get Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown on Blu-ray later this week. Can't wait to rewatch them and I hope the HD transfers look great! Apparently they were approved by Tarantino himself though.

Same with The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Haven't seen the original, haven't read the books (I will after I Am Ozzy and Devil's Knot-West Memphis 3 story). I was entertained and that's all the matters.

Limitless

I watched this on SkyMovies and really thought it was gonna be a crock of shit. The plot sounded really interesting but I figured they'd make a bollocks of it in one way or another but it actually ended up being a really good movie! I think Bradley Cooper's great in it and the cinematography in parts is really well done as well, and they threw in some really good twists and turns along the way. Pleasantly surprised, so I was...

Sexy Killer.

a part female serial 'campus' killer.. part re-animator/zombie film. its kind of 2 films in one. bit strange. its spanish.. im not connecting those two by the way before any of our hispanic devin fans get upset.

probably best to watch it on your own first, then if you think your friends won't think youre a general weirdo for liking this kind of film, then by all means, show it around!

oh turns out the whole thing is avaliable for free on youtube... hmm.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LsHyvur8SDo
