Upon that games release, my social life will be effectively dead for 2-3 months. :dead:

Looks great. I wonder if that's Kevin Conroy who took over the voice of 47 though.

I think it's unnecessary and I'm tired of every game series I like feeling like they need to throw caution to the wind and get Joe Call of Duty in front of the TV to try and play it.

*will reserve the right to reverse this upon it actually not blowing.

even if Bioware will never admit it, I'm pretty sure this was EA's idea so they can put their lovely online pass into the game, heh. Oh well, it's co-op missions and no death match garbage so it actually might not suck. Besides, no one's forcing us to play the co-op missions. But we all know we'll play them anyways :P

Boo, multiplayer co-op. I'm fine sucking on my own. (inb4 masturbation joke)

Hopefully it won't be at the expense of single-player quality content (but it probably will be).

The multiplayer option is what is driving the game industry right now. The first thing people ask about a game when it is announced nowadays is "is it multiplayer?" It now supersedes actual game content. Who cares about a well written story when you can just make some maps for people to blow each other away on?

When my son gets a new game that features multiplayer, he just jumps right into that and ignores the "campaign" portion of the game for months.

Yeah, I've noticed this disturbing trend as well. Games that have the potential to be awesome - being reduced in scope to accomodate the multiplayer component.

Blech. I won't be going near co-op. Mass Effect is a solo game. That's it.

Mass effect is the perfect example of a game that had no need of multiplayer, and multiplayer could take away from the game, not only by having ressources work on the multiplayer parts, but by lessenning the effects of the story telling and universe.
Whem I'm out there Shepperding stuff into Oblivion will trying to tap blue alien booty, I don't need some random internet dude in there talking to me, taking me out of the experience.
Bah humbug to multiplayer, the only kind I like is splitscreen, and that's dying right now... Stupid that now that big screen TV are everywhere, and we have the screen sizes to make it work, that splitscreen is dying.

The only sane choice to blow your load over this year is Arkham City.
9 days to go!
Three or four times bigger than the Asylum. Mad Hatter, Mr Freeze and Solomon Grundy. 8)

Really did not like the earlier Batman arkham game, even my buddy with the Nightwing tattoo thought it sucked.
Playing a Batman game I kinda expect to feel badass and be able to mow down the thugs and such, but it was not so, most likely due to my hasu gaming skills, but still. Combat was boringly difficult and repetitive, and that's coming from an avid Diablo player.

Still, pretty cool that a game you are excited about is coming out.
For me this year is now all about SSX and Saint's Row 3

Wow, you and your buddy are alone in that. My favorite non-RPG of this generation by far.
