The Mist - black and white version.
I have to admit, this movie looks a lot better in black and white. The shadows yield more dread, and those stark shots of white mist more effectively obscure the surroundings, building greater anticipation of the monstrosities it contains. The monsters also have more of a stop motion look in black and white than the obvious CG look they had in the main version, though you can still tell they are CG in some shots.
Plus when I first read the short story years ago, I always envisioned something gray and desaturated. The black and white was closer to my imagination than the color version, though that's fine on its own.
Worth checking out for those who can find it.

The plot, for what it was, was passable, and it was certainly better than Resident Evil. I actually wrote up a review of it on my blog. All in all, not bad for a game-movie. There's certainly worse adaptations out there.

I'm really looking for to see that one. I don't have super high expectations but I'm a fan of the series so it'll be enjoyable enough. There's quite a shitstorm directed at this movie on imdb making it look like the worst horror movie ever. Personally I highly doubt that it is.

As for The Mist. I tried to watch the colored version and didn't like it too much. Shut it off after 10 minutes and put in the b&w version. The movie just works way better in b&w. One of my favorite horror movies!

The Amazing Spider-Man Question is, do we really need this reboot? As superhero movies go, this is ok but didn't feel anything too special.

Neverland Peter Pan origins basically, made for TV and this shows in effects wich are passable though.

Rhys Ifans stars in both films as villain.

I would say yes. Because I think Spiderman is a rather cool story, but the previous films were shit and Tobey Maguire's face is just fucking annoying. :D

There, fixed it.

Ah yes... I remember when Spider-man and "the new goblin" were in that skyscraper and the goblin died, and there was a sunset/sunrise, and everything was supposed to be soooo sad. Everyone in the cinema were laughing.

I would say that Andrew Garfield looks equally annoying, Emma Stone on the other hand seems to be that one redeeming factor.

I dunno... if I was to hit one of two punching bags that had these faces attached to each of them, I know which one I'd have a go at. :D

Basket Case 2 & 3

how bizarre, how bizarre...da da dun da da dun...how bizarre, how bizarre. I thought the first Basket Case movie was insanely weird but man, compared to Basket Case 2 and 3 it's totally normal. Let me just point out a few things. In Basket Case 2 the deformed siamese male twin finds himself a deformed siamese twin girlfriend and yes, there's a sex scene that makes you go    and there's also an entire house full of deformed freaks. Awesome.
If that doesn't sound awesome enough then wait till you see Basket Case 3. The entire bunch of freaks goes on a road trip to visit a specialist doc where the deformed siamese female twin gives birth to 12 deformed freak babies. The babies end up getting kidnapped and the siamese deformed male twin gets a robot suit built for himself so he can get his kids back. Fucking awesome! It's just stuff that needs to be seen! And I'm not even kidding.

I don't think I've ever used the word delightful in a sentence before, but I'm about to.

Emma Stone is a delightful actress.

I came here to tell about http://akas.imdb.com/title/tt1991245/ Chernobyl Diaries, just to say this: MEHHH.
The spookiness of Pripyat could have given so much more, better actors desperately needed and special effects were just oozy.
I wanted it to be better, but it was shite.

Soooo, to the Spiderman business!
Amazing SM had to be done, because if they had left the SM movies lay where the last movie fell flat, it would have killed any intrest towards anything SM related.
So I am happy they made the ASM, though it was like full hour too long, it was a lot better then the horrible Tobey ones.
I can tell it is aimed at a bit younger audience, all the school drama and being a teenager-problems all the way.
But too many bad jokes, TOO MUCH STARING AND NOT BEING ABLE TO TALK WITH THE GIRL got me annoyed at certain times to the point where I was wawing my arms at the TV
"Just say it, damn you p****!"
I have to admit, I did like the new technology he used for his advantage.
And not too many recent movies (that I have seen at least) have really used any gadgets or devices or applications available for all of us for their survival.

And who to punch?
Can I have both? :D
I'd sure give some extra fist for Tobey
