The Mist - black and white version.
I have to admit, this movie looks a lot better in black and white. The shadows yield more dread, and those stark shots of white mist more effectively obscure the surroundings, building greater anticipation of the monstrosities it contains. The monsters also have more of a stop motion look in black and white than the obvious CG look they had in the main version, though you can still tell they are CG in some shots.
Plus when I first read the short story years ago, I always envisioned something gray and desaturated. The black and white was closer to my imagination than the color version, though that's fine on its own.
Worth checking out for those who can find it.
