Flash is broken on my computer and I've tried everything to fix it...reinstall, reinstall to an older version, try reinstalling to x86 with an x64 wrapper (cuz my Ubuntu is x64), reboot 12 times, etc etc. No bueno

Go to your home folder and press CTRL+H and then delete .macromedia folder. Open browser and test again. If that didin't help what is your flash version? http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
After a ton of digging through the tubes, i found that the installer that the software center provided was a crapper, and i had to just go to the flash website and download the plugin in a .tar.gz (?) file and install it manually with the command line...it's all good now! Thanks for the suggestion though
