Let's just face it. Long hair is bloody annoying. Lots of women cut their hair short when they have a baby, why wouldn't the father do that?
He doesn't need the long hair anymore because he's done with (frequent) public appearances and touring. He's done with SYL.
And let's face it, I'm not trying to offend anyone but he did look slightly silly with that hair. I can imagine it would be hard to be taken seriously when, say, negotiating a mortgage?

So in the end I think he's just going for convenience and there's no 'public image' or 'religious experience' or anything related to the music he has made or will be making. Just convenience, sick of cursing his ancestors for the lousy DNA.

Long hair is not bloody annoying. At least, not to me. It also gives me more styling options...straight, wavy, ponytail, high bun, low bun...bla bla bla. You get the point. I doubt any of that was Dev's concern though.

I miss my long hair horribly. Had it long for about 6 years, chopped it off, grew it back and had it long for about another 3 years and had to chop it off again in order to get a job (which I still really don't have, running around doing temp jobs) with my bachelors degree in Marketing. As soon as I can get settled into a decent job, it's coming back.

i dont particularly miss it, i had it long when i was a fat bastard, and when it was summertime, it was awful!
