So yes, the unawesome part of the last two days, continued from the awesome thread.

First off, yesterday morning I wake up to my girlfriend shaking me and saying, "Sean, there's blood all over." Uh, yeah. There's blood smeared all over my neck, down her hand, etc. I spring out of bed and realize that, luckily, I had just scratched a mole at some point in the night that decided to bleed like a mother fucker. I clean up and get back in bed when suddenly my phone rings. It's my roommate informing that some fucker who deserves to have every inch of his anus probed by Satan did this to my car:



Didn't take anything, didn't pop the lock, just decided my window would look a lot better with a giant fucking hole in it. I guess I should count my blessings on that, but really? REALLY? I called the glass people to come out and fix it and luckily they took care of it yesterday but, lovely, that's another $250 I wasn't planning on spending. Oh, and the cherry on top of it all is I have to start paying off my student loans this month as well, so that's yet ANOTHER $250 payment I have to make.

I am just fuming right now. Absolutely. Even here where it's harder to get a gun there are still occasional shootings from criminals and maniacs. Fair enough if the military and police force have guns, but the real trouble comes from the common citizenry who have a machismo attitude about gun ownership. Psychosis only makes it worse.

Of course, every school shooting is a tragedy, but this one really got to me. These were children aged 5-10. What the fuck. I can't really find the right words.

My cousin is an elementary school teacher who happens to live in Newton and happens to teach a few towns over.

Needless to say the whole thing has me in paralysis. This is not something to be politicized other than the issues of mental health need to be addressed. We cannot keep on willfully ignoring the sick.
