Ah, workplace rage, I know your pain!

Yesterday, I was up at 5am for work. Had an absolute whirlwind of a day, flat out. Got home at 7.30pm ready for a rare weeknight out to see Minus The Bear. Home just before midnight, bed just after. Awake again at 4.30am, unable to use my precious last bit of sleep due to thinking about work. I am so f***ing tired right now!

Boiler popped and the carbon monoxide tester went off. Got the emergency gas dude here to see us through to the morning. This is gonna be expensive! Plus I'm now super bored sat here doing nothing while he sorts it out

Just read on Facebook that Jeff Hanneman has died.

Slayer is devastated to inform that their bandmate and brother, Jeff Hanneman, passed away at about 11AM this morning near his Southern California home. Hanneman was in an area hospital when he suffered liver failure. He is survived by his wife Kathy, his sister Kathy and his brothers Michael and Larry, and will be sorely missed.

Our Brother Jeff Hanneman, May He Rest In Peace (1964 - 2013)

News of Hanneman's passing made this whole weekend just un-awesome :( May he rest in peace. :dead:

I've bee lucky enough to see the original Slayer-lineup live quite a few times. Those memories are all unique to me.

As a Bay Area lad (even though Slayer was from LA), this cuts right to the bone.

Feast well with Satan, Jeff.

I was going to see Steven Wilson tomorrow, but all of my asshole coworkers won't take my shift from 9 PM - 3 AM. For fuck's sake, all they would have to do is sell sodas and make like three pizzas at the front desk of a college dorm. They could even listen to music and do homework while working. But no, nobody wants free money.

I've missed way too many shows because of this job. :/

My sister got a call from the police today: her just recently bought first car was stolen by some drughead assholes. In addition to stealing the car stereos, cds, memory sticks and what-have-you she had in the car, they managed to crash the car. The police caught the guys, but the chances of getting any kind of compensation from such piss-poor lowlifes are pretty nil. And my sister didn't have insurence covering theft and stuff like that, just the bare-bones regular insurance. It's a used card from around 1994 (IIRC), so if the damages to the car are anything serious, it's possibe it won't make any sense to have it repaired - could end up costing more than what she bought it for.

Damn write-offs. I wish someone would explain the concept to my Dad though... he keeps pumping money into a car worth maybe AUS$500 - $1000. Drives us all mad!

Sorry to hear about your sister's misfortune at the hands of useless cockheads. People like that are a compelling argument for state-sanctioned sterilisation. And then I remember that I'm not a fascist. Anyway, I hope she gets out of it all with something left to show for it.

Getting two mediocre essay (coursework) marks in a row is not exactly encouraging right before the final exams starts rolling :\ Fuck.

So... a friggin' bridge (under construction) collapsed over a road in my home town today. Ten people have been sent to the hospital, and two people are missing - one construction worker, and one in a car somewhere under the bridge.
Also, consequentially, the two major roads for exiting the east side of the city are now obstructed, and there's a massive traffic chaos. Woah.

Most people I know there cross that passage on a daily basis, and my best friend attends school just a few meters away. I hope everyone's okay.
