Quick update! I just cracked the shits as I want to know what the cause is, so I'm off to see a GP at 2pm today. I don't deal well with sitting around waiting!

Yeah, I've got this really good stuff, I think it's called O'Keefe's working hands. It works really well, it's just I work at a dental lab, and I'm mixing up stone all day and washing my hands, so they just dry out super quick. I've never needed lotion in my life before this. My hands have always been fine without it.
But after reading all about your un-awesomeness, I'm alright with the occasional dry hand irritations. :/ I hope you can get all that sorted out and be able to reverse the negative effects. Best of luck to you on that front.

He said it sounds like fairly typical GORD/GERD and said that's almost sure to be what's causing the throat issues.
I'm on Nexium, taking smaller meals more frequently, won't eat too close to bedtime, and he told me to prop the bed up with bricks!
So the plan is to see if that all helps (and I'll follow your tips, Lars) for the next month. Doc also recommended a gastroscopy when I relocate so I will do that ASAP.
Feels good to possibly have some answers!

Thanks very much, that's very cool of you.
I'll be right! Spent a great afternoon in the sunshine with my little boy and my wifey and all troubles are forgotten. Glad to have some idea of what's causing it all so I can get in with managing it.
I think I've had my share of ailments now, thanks very much universe!
