Yeah we saw that the other night too. We thought it was bad. Only bit that made me laugh out loud was when the male friend shouted, "Girl fight!" as the two women with super powers started battling. :)

Really interesting movie about John's way of composing and writing.
also has some great live footage of Naked City, Masada and other John Zorn projects!
Gimme gimme!

"Fracture" starring Anthony Hopkins and Ryan Gosling (I've only seen him in United States of Leland). Good acting, subpar script.

I'd give it a 5/10, especially after seeing "3:10 to Yuma" yesterday, which would have been a solid 8 or 9. It made "Fracture" feel like a stretched-out television drama.

I watched Twin Peaks : Fire Walk With Me again. The first time I saw it I was distracted by some other stuff around me. So I caught many things now that I didn't before.

The number 23.
Cool idea but sloppy executed. I thought Jim Carrey would be perfect for the role since I liked what he did in "Eternal sunshine.." and "Truman show" but I never really got into his character, felt like he was a bit of an ass somehow. The ending also came together way too easy, like the director decided to wrap it up real quick and go home.

There are 23 copies of Sonic the Hedghog for megadrive in my Dad's shop. Coincidence!? ... yes.

Shoot Em Up.

Good movie if you want non-stop action. Some great set pieces but some of the jokes got a bit old (carrot deaths). Recommended cinema viewing.
7/10.
Or a bit more just cause the Zen video is shown.

Ratatouille. :D Another enjoyable Pixar offering. Their short film 'Lifted' was also an amusing concept.

The Lady in the Water.

I had never heard of this one before at all. However, it was an interestingly nice, fairly fast-paced little fantasy. Paul Giamatti played the lead character. Peculiar in that all the people in the apartment block seemed to follow along with the weirdness rather unquestioningly. But that's what fairytales are all about.

watched lots of movies,

the best were Planet Terror, the Bourne Trilogy, the Troy DC, the Kill Bill movies, Blood Diamond and more I'd give them all 8 - 10 out of 10...especially Planet Terror and the Bourne movies were awesome.

the worst movie I have seen recently was a thai movie called 'SARS War' or something like that...I had to turn it off after 30 minutes and then had to keep myself from jumping off the balcony. I'd give it..

Shoot 'em up- Awful... Zen video is in it, that's the best moment of the movie. Two great actors in a low budget, shitty movie. The action is funny and over the top, but as soon as there's no shooting, you're bored and waiting for more action. That does not make a great movie. 4/10

Knocked Up- Pretty good actually. Fresh, original humour and some 'geek only' humour (Back To The Future & Star Wars references). Nice little story, good acting... yeah, it's fun. 8/10

Death At A Funeral. 9/10

Completely hilarious. It builds up the tension beautifully in the first half and then in the second half it delivers laugh after laugh.

Go see it and avoid all trailers for the movie as I watched the trailer this morning AFTER seeing the film and it gives away major plot developments.

Engaged To Kill

The story itself wasnt that bad(still kinda cheesy), but the movie could have been alot better with a higher budget. The best thing about the movie is that Katharine Isabelle plays in it, shes hot haha

Hannibal Rising

This final Hannibal story wraps up nicely how it all started.
Actors were chosen well, especially I liked Hannibal himself,
he had that look what you got from sir Hopkins before he cooked you for his dinner.
That same sane but still alive look, brr!
Gave me biggest goosebumps

Wasn't the best Hannibal (well, you can't beat Silence of the lambs),
but this needs to be seen.

I give it

8+/10

Seriously, I don't even think I can remember the last movie I saw. But my verdict should be pretty obvious anyway :)
