Nope, the predator and predalien fight and kill each other at the same time, and all the regular aliens, while multiplying like rabbits, are wiped out along the city by a nuke bomb. A few humans (4) make it out in time.
At the very end of the movie we see the military giving the predator's gun to a chick from some corporation, my friends told me that corp's name is half of the name of the firm that employ Ripley in the original Alien movie. The military guy says something like "this technology is to advanced to fight on this planet" and the chick replies something like "it's not for this planet", so there may be a sequel, with even more aliens, predators, and plot-holes

I saw "Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story" the other day. Not only is the movie hilarious, but the soundtrack was very well done considering the parody/satire-like mood to the movie. Oh, and Jenna Fischer is gorgeous!

Severance (k18 in Finland)

Not the greatest horror comedy I've seen, but I liked
this very much!
They don't get shy with the blood, characters are really
joyful and some things are just too weird to happen
in a movie like this.

Anyone else see No Country for Old Men? It topped a looooot of "top ten" lists last year.

I can't believe how good a directing team the Coen brothers are.

The perfect movie? Maybe...

But I've been in a writing mood of late. No inspiration. Have plenty now. I love movies that make you think.

Grave of the Fireflies: this one got me to tears. I was totally in a mood for such a story and when the little girl "never wakes up again" , man, so sad ... the relationship between brother and sister is also amazingly developed. Whenever you're in a mood for "how can life be from 'the other' perspective", I totally recommend this anime.

Fuck.

I was blubbering at the end.

One of the most powerful anti-war statements ever.



I've always been rather ambivalent about anime...but give this one a watch.

I need to check-out the rest of Cillian Murphy's movies, especially Breakfast on Pluto.

Just saw Charlie Wilson's War, thought it was fantastic! Tom Hanks and Philip Seymour Hoffman (Who was also in Capote, mentioned above..) were outstanding. I hate Julia Roberts so she was quite annoying but I got over that.. Great film, some good funny moments mixed in with the severity of it all. Highly recommended.
