I found this tutorial very useful:

Of course, if you dont have Logic you can try it with another synth VST...If it has the same parameters. Needless to say, Youtube is your friend on this one.

Loki has amazing potential. Check him out on YouTube, he creates some real good trax using only Reason.

Hope he gets the recognition he deserves.

Skrillex is getting big, quickly. He's recently signed to Deadmau5's label actually. Cool stuff.

I think I'm getting old as I just can't understand this music's appeal. Gotta respect how well it's building up though, from underground word of mouth upwards. First scene I've seen like that in a long while!

And it's borderline mainstream

Pretty cool for a kinda-pop tune.

Katy B has done quite a bit of work with Dubstep peeps, namely Magnetic Man.

Speaking of Magnetic Man, this track is cool:

I love the Music Box / Glockenspiel / Random-metallic-sounding-instrument bits. Should get that album actually...

Super awesome track. I'm really not comfortable with the term "dubstep" though, because as soon as I hear that I think of those mainstream dubstep artists who only stick to halftime drums and sub-bass with nothing really happening. It feels like a trend. I feel like all the 'step I listen to is on the edge of DnB. Dunno. But I like some of Skrillex' stuff, apart from the typical Lady Gaga/Black Eyed Peas remixes.

Quite liking a lot of this stuff!

And now, to throw a spanner in the works...I give you...Britney Spears:

Watch it and you'll see what I mean!

Is this a sign that this sort of sound is climbing onto the mainstream? Pop music gets evil.

^ Rusko is producing her latest album, and is therefore contributing to the seemingly inevitable huge step towards the mainstream world getting its diamond encrusted mittens on Dubstep.

Is this a bad thing? I love dirty pop, and this just makes it all the dirtier.

Maybe in 10 more years we will have black metal poking into Britney too!

That is just too dirty to consider.
