New Rambo... This was actually pretty cool stuff, a .50cal gun porno almost. It's still nice to see some decent all-out violence in movies and not that lame disney shit. Just to clear the facts, i don't look movies for sake of violence but... Pah, who i am trying to fool here, bring it on :D And this movie certainly does just that, and Stallone was in pretty good flesh too. Not sure if all that muscle is from training alone, if you know what i mean  , but still wery impressive performance. I give this one 4 out of five stars.

score!

That would have meant not paying attention to the movies.

I watched that romcom 'Music and Lyrics' last night. Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore. It was pretty poor. Very thin really. So much so that I got up to fold laundry in another room not long before the end. I did come back in to catch the last 10 minutes though.... had to make sure of course! :)

Videodrome, just now.

It's a horror (?) movie from 1983. It stands out among the pack, however, because it is a movie that is about more than just itself. It's a somewhat cynical sci-fi surrealistic film that foresaw many of the issues plaguing television and viewing audiences today. Censorship, media control, couch-potato syndrome, etc.

David Cronenberg, see it bitches!

Death to Videodrome, long live the new flesh!

I recently saw the new Micheal Moore movie, Sicko. Its a pretty indepth movie about the American health care system. I knew the system was pretty shit to begin with but seriously after watching that movie it brought on a whole new meaning to "not giving a fuck". Some points of the movie I got really pissed off, mainly due to how everyday people are treated like shit by the American government.

At first glance it just seems like Moore is blatantly giving shit to America and comparing it with other countries who have better health care, but slowly more and more people...if they watch the movie will realize how bad the problem is over there. I experienced it first hand when I went to America a couple of years ago, I was covered but when I went over there I found out that you needed like 4 cards just to see a doctor if you were an American citizen, and the doctors bill for a check up was ridiculous.

I was quite shocked how people still discredited the information on the Sicko movie after it was released in America because the mainstream media in America said the countries mentioned on the documentary were in worse shape then America with its health care. It really pisses me off to see that the American government has such a choke hold on its people, everyone thinks that America is the best place on earth (well, they do)...but in all honesty its a shit hole. The people are nice, but seriously...how can you justify a country and a government which doesn't give a flying fuck about its own people.

I know we have problems here, but seriously comparing them with America is mind boggling.

I know that people in this forum will have abit more common sense then the people who get brainwashed by the media in America, so have a watch of it and see what you think.

Good solid doco.

There Will Be Blood. If you haven't seen it - rent it, buy it, go see it in the cinema, get it online.. do something to see it. I've not seen many films that surpass it. Such an incredible film. Mr Day-Lewis certainly deserved that Oscar..

Recently I saw Hot Fuzz

(from the same dudes who did Shaun of the dead)

I gotta say, this almoust made me sleep in the middle, but luckily I didn't!
Almoust two hours in length, but worth spending it in front of TV.
It's very "swooshing", editing is fast and scenes go very fast past for us, as the days
for our hero in the film.

Angel, a top cop from London gets transferred to a small village in the countryside,
because of a simple reason: he is just too good.
Getting used to quiet and over-friendly town is making our poor hero very frustrated,
until he discovers something, he soon wishes he didn't...

You really don't want to mix this with Shaun, totally a different movie, not a one zombie,
but many funny moments and jokes, that will (hopefully) make you want to see this movie
again!

9-/10
