Big fan of both Hot Fuzz & Shaun of the Dead! :D

Stranger Than Fiction: Pretty good...should have been paying closer attention to it, but I was somewhat busy with the Sunday chores. I thought it was similar or along the same lines as Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Very unique plot, and I do always enjoy Emma Thompson's performances.

I'd give it a 6.5/10, and would probably rate it higher given a second viewing.

It's not for everyone, I guess. I enjoy David Cronenberg's 'weirder' output a fair bit myself.

Last movie I saw was Suspiria. Classic Argento flick. Hear there's a remake on the way... Hope not! In any case, the cinematography in the original was gorgeous. Great use of colors by Mr. Argento.

The Mothman Prophecies (2002), wonderfully shot (unorthodox framing with excellent usage of light and depth of field) movie with atmosphere of slight paranoia. It smears thin layer of eerieness all over viewer, no cheap scares, just subtle smell of mystery. I don't like Richard Gere, but it's really good movie.

2) the flick was horridly dull
3) moths scare the livin crap outta me

3.5/10

Exactly how I feel.
I like that kinda movies usually, where the bad and evil is more harder to point out or it just is being scary and mysterious.
You know what I mean.
But Richard.. damn, he's just plain boring!
I saw this ages ago, and actually bought the dvd too!
That's why the half point up, it was cheap as.. macaroni.

4/10

I guess this is why people gave only 6.4 for this movie on IMDB. With Christopher Walken could be around 8.0

Just look at that face.

It SCREAMS "romantic comedies" and "every woman over 37 just adores me, damn I'm hot!"

10,000 BC

I kinda enjoyed this one, strangely, because for many reasons it deserves not to be enjoyed at all. If you have no knowledge of history you'll find it entertaining enough. It was lovely to look at though! Beautiful grandiose panoramic shots, good CGI of the dwindling end-of-ice-age creatures, mammoths, sabretooth cats and giant carnivorous moa-type birds (I rather thought those only existed in South America, but nevermind.)

The flaws annoyed me too much to settle down and relax through it. I kept thinking it would have made a lot more sense if they'd had it set around the Indus Valley civilization which was in existence in 10,000 BC and not tried to pretend that the Egyptians were doing their thing that far back.

No Country For Old Men (Not as great as I thought it'd be, mainly because of the ending, but still a cool watch)
Shoot 'Em Up (ZEEEEEEEENNN!!!)
Once (Good music, but terribly boring as a movie...save a few parts)
Renaissance: Paris 2054 (Interesting art style, pretty cool story)

and...

Children of Men (My new favorite action/drama film of all time...kept me on the edge of my seat nearly the whole time)

Ever notice how Clive Owen is always in movies where he's escorting someone? Shoot 'Em Up, Children of Men, Sin City (the guy was dead, but he was still escorting him somewhere).

I wanted to see that in the cinema but it was only on for a short time and the weekend I had pegged for going to see it was too late, gone. :(

I'd really like to see that one (Cloverfield).

Watched:
Enchanted. Cute little movie. :)
Into the Wild. I think they did a very good job with following the book, at least from what I can remember. It's been about 10 years since I read it. The cinematography in it is beautiful.

no, i haven't forgotten Dunkel.
