yes he does acoustic medieval stuff that is not bad at all ... He is still very good but in another trip ... his wife sings in his band "blackmore's night"
Candice white ? I think that's her name ...

However that's not metal at all but some acoustic and classic parts are impressive

look at the wizard !!!!

What's this thing on his guitar? Some MIDI device?

Seems to be MIDI.

The Blackmore's wife seems nice but the dude has that "greasy aging pornstar" thing going on.

My old man's a big blackmore's night fan, and after having him ram it down my throat i'm starting to dig it! And judging by the pic ol' Richie doesn't do too bad at all!!

I don't think you can beat Rainbow.

They chord and key change in Since You've Been Gone is both genius and hilarious.

Fuck Richie. It's Morse that kicks ass for me. I don't even like old Deep Purple. I hate "Smoke on the water". "Perfect Strangers" is a cool song though. The live versions with Morse are cool. It's quite a different band now!

Speed King is awesome. It's got high pitched screams, drums all over the place and a kick ass riff.

It's all about the riffs.

Hush was on that too and it's classic.

Cool thing about this DVD is that they let Steve and themselves fuck around with the songs. I always miss that on live shows. I dont want to hear the album played back the same way. Bring on the jam.

I agree. I get annoyed when bands play exact to how they are on the album.

Biggest blame on "Dream Theater's Scenes from New York" DVD, the dudes just stand there and play it like it was on CD. Only the drummer has a good time. Petrucci sometimes tries to make an "evil face" when he strums a power chord and that is more sad and hilarious than metal. The bass player is so ugly that the cameras rarely point at his direction, which was basicly a good call. The final joke is the "multi media" directed by the band. I would stab myself if I had done it.

I didn't even know samael had a DVD i'll have to check that out.

My advice would be wait a month and get the KMFDM WWIII dvd if you like that sort of thing.

Samael "Black Trip" DVD seemed very intresting. I think it was a double DVD covering two tours/albums + usual extras.

Totally, you have to put this band in a retrospect!

It's caused me pain though. I just want it on vinyl and haven't found it at an affordable price. I will though, I will.
