I have just watched the 5 first minutes of some random episode of Rockstar Supernova right after listening to Alien and The New Black.

the thing that really make me laugh and remember devin was this one dude switching to a rougher voice and failing completely at it. I was trying to go "singing" with alien to feel what it'd be like to try it out, and to me at least, it's physically impossible to do what Devin does

if there was a million dollar prize or something, Devy should prostitute himself for a few weeks

Anyone who watched that show (I did) knew from very early on that they were going to pick Rossi to win. That notion was solidified when he did this god awful cover of a Bon Jovi song and they fucking PRAISED it! I was baffled. It was horrendous.

I'd never heard of that show but I looked at songs from some of the episodes a few days ago and I didn't hear anything good. Reality TV bloooooows.

It was an entertaining show for what it was. I thought some of the singers did some killer covers, but it always seemed like the "band" tore people down simply to build up another. You'd see someone do a killer performance and they'd slam it; then someone like Rossi would do that horrible Bon Jovi cover and they'd give him a standing ovation. It was odd.

I thought the best singer on the show was Ryan Star. He wasn't a "rocker," as they called them, but he was diverse and seemed to have more talent than most of them. Storm Large was also really good (and hot).

Here's some of Star's performances that I liked:

CLOCKS (Coldplay)
IN THE AIR TONIGHT (Phil Collins)
LOSING MY RELIGION (REM)
ENJOY THE SILENCE (Depeche Mode)

Basically the show was good for me because I'm obsessed with music. I didn't necessarily like the songs they did, but I liked listening to the vocals and such. Either way, Rossi was one of the worst one the show. How he won is beyond me.

Cool, he covered Enjoy The Silence.

That song's too good for words. Didn't really like his version at all, but you can't go too far wrong with a classic like that.

...Alright, I am thoroughly confused by the internet. Or maybe just this board, I don't know. All I'm asking is... Can someone tell me what the FUCK people find wrong with that dude's voice?! This is pissing me off to an unprecedented extent. I may not have cared for his 'look' or whatever, but the dude had a good voice. Maybe it's because I haven't heard the other guys? Fuck if I know.

I know plenty (well, more than plenty really) of singers who sound far worse than him, especially considering he was playing live in front of god knows how many people. I'm seriously confused. Have I not listened to the right song? Have I not listened hard enough? Perhaps people's opinions on the HDR and SYL boards are just baffling me lately.

THEY HAVE NOT AIRED ALL THE EPISODES OVER HERE YET!!


Damn you internet, I was watching that show every Sunday and was quite amused. No point in watching now....
