I'm sure we've probably done this before, but i can't be bothered to look for it, so....
What are your favourite vocal melodies...I'm talking about those songs that are just dripping with it!!
Just lately, I'm a sucker for a beautiful vocal melody

I'm big into the vocal melodies as well. What I really love is when there are two or more distinct vocals going at the same time. I can't think of any examples at the moment but I'll be sure to add some here as soon as I do.

Let's not forget The Beatles. Once they started experimenting with different vocal melodies and double and triple vocal lines, their true talent emerged. One of the best bands ever in my opinion.

Ya know vocal melodies are good no matter what, as long as they don't sound like they are some 12 year old kid whinning constantly. Katatonia is a good example of vocal melodies. And there is this Irish band called Cruachan with a womans vocals doing the most of singing...but it kicks ass! Is very very good.

The background melody during the chorus in Material from physicist.
