Anyone pick up Systematic Chaos?

This is quite possibly the best album I've ever heard. It is quite amazing and there are no filler whatsoever.

If you haven't picked it up, I strongly suggest you to, because of this album, I have only been able to listen to Ziltoid once! I haven't even gotten to Kamelot new album either.

If you have heard it, what do you think about it?

I already downloaded it when it was first leaked, and now my Special Edition arrived today :) It's a nice album still, but it's not quite Top 5 material for this year.

The 90-minute documentary is nice though :)

I'd never want to have sex with Dream Theater. They wank, and wank, and wank... but never climax.

Or, to quote a famous Australian little postwhore, "Dream Theater are classically trained musicians, so they'll rape anything at the expense of taste."

Just personal opinions of course :)

Other than that, I have to agree with shiram. LaBrie sounds like a dying whale on *spam* if you ask me.

I love this album, its probably my favorite of the year so far (although it would be a tie).

Repentance is good. I don't really like the rest much. The Dark Eternal Night is pretty kickin' though.

It'sawin, I've downloaded it (SHOCK), but I aim to buy it once I've bought Ziltoid (which should be anytime soon). By no mean's the best album ever, or their best album ever, but still lots of fun. I'm glad being on Roadrunner hasn't had a hugely significant blow on their music.

PROPHETS OF WAR, MORE LIKE MUSE OF MUSE AMIRITE?

Repentance is probably my least favorite on the album, but its still pretty ok. In the Presence of Enemies is by far my favorite.

Eh, Roadrunner has some cool bands amungst all the crap like Megadeth and Opeth and whatnot. Yeah, Prophets of War and Never Enough are very Muse-esque. Nothing wrong with that though ;p

I bought it the day it was released. I've only liked Dream Theater since Train Of Thought, because before that they sounded like they were stuck in the 80s to my ears.
Systematic Chaos, in my opinion, is their best release to date. It has the balls, brains and melodies. I kinda expected this, because they switched to Roadrunner.
The lyrics are a little corny though, not to my liking, but the sound is awesome. I especially like The Dark Eternal Night; wowawewa, what a riff. Prophets Of War is also really great.
I've never really liked James LaBrie, but after a few listens (especially to his his solo album, great stuff) it kinda grows on you.

Anyway, just an amazing record. Can't get it out of my CD-player.

If you don't like James LaBrie, just listen to When Dream and Day Unite.
