Recently I've been taking random CD's to work with me and ripping them onto my hard drive on the work computer that I am plugged into 8 hours a day. It's given me an opportunity to listen to some albums that haven't seen the inside of my CD player for about 10 years. I'm also realizing that some of the albums I held as sacred during my High School years really suck some serious ass as I'm reaching the mid point of my 30's.

Some examples of albums I have recently revisited and shook me head almost in revulsion at:

Slayer - Show No Mercy
Slayer - Hell Awaits
Suicidal Tendencies - How Will I Laugh Tomorrow If I Can't Even Smile Today
Suicidal Tendencies - Lights Camera Revolution
Pantera - Cowboys From Hell
Iron Maiden - Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son

Wow...so this is what growing old feels like.

Feel free to add yours....

I recently dusted off my old copy of Eiffel 65's "Europop." Holy shit, that album was bad...

I found my copy of Staind - Break The Cycle from back in my pre-teen days in my closet. i put it on, it was 2001 all over again and i didnt like that very much.

Also Jesus and The Mary Chain - Darklands. my mate reccomended it and it was only $10 Austrialian (Beirt thats like .35 Euros or something yeah?). i got bored after the 3rd track.

All music in the background of TV advertisements, nasty nasty nasty.

I sense this will become an intensely popular thread.

Nuclear Death - Bride of Insect

Checked it out for the vocals, as there aren't many female death metal vocalists out there. It sounded like shit.

The Clash - London Calling

Thought I'd check these guys out since they're so freaking culted. It did nothing for me whatsoever. I guess I'm just not a punk.

Megadeth - The world needs a hero... didn't like it when it came either though.
Grave Digger - Tunes of war

I miss the days when anything labeled metal was gold for me.

I found out recently I don't like Scenes from a Memory as much as I did when it was the only "metal/prog" cd I owned.

Ermm...
-All CD's of Rhapsody / Sonata Arctica and other shitty power metal.
-Kent (no idea what the CD is called)
-Blink 182's Enema Of The State (pfoeey, what a crappy album compared to the other ones)
-South Park's Chef Aid

That's about it.. I still listen to the rest of all my CD's.

Timo Rautiainen & Trio Niskalaukaus. Holy hell. How can someone create an entire career with just one song? It's like the same song over and over again for a total of four albums.

Finns will know what I'm talking about.

I loved chef aid as a 12 year old. maybe I should dig it up and give it another listen...

Homo Rainbow is still timeless at least
