Can anyone reccomend me some southern rock style bands similar to Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Marshall Tucker Band. Im also open to more southern tinged stoner metal influenced stuff like Spiritual Beggars and Alabama ThunderPussy.

Cheers

The Allman Brothers?
Some good stuff, the little I've heard.

Excellent list!

And as for my own suggestions...perhaps Clutch or Orange Goblin or Solace.

Yeah!

Can I add Down (with Phil and Pepper) and the not so southern (cause they are from Denmark) but heavy-punky-southernesque-rockanroll of Volbeat? :)

I shall second Monga's suggestion of Clutch. "Robot Hive/Exodus" is a must-have!

VOLBEAT!!! Yeah!! :D Great Band, especially live. Crazy Mixture of Elvis, Johnny Cash, Social Distortion, Danzig, Metal-Sound and godknowswhat, but somehow they don`t sound old-fashioned but pretty young and cool.

Yeah, they sound fresh and new... and I love that Danzig tone of the vocalist... :)
