i would never have guessed
but the true origins of black metal lie with this dude:
Image

He's called Daminhão Experiença (which could translate as Damien Experience with a bad bad spelling), and he released a whole bunch of albums in the 70's

this is a song called "Planet Mud"

if that's not black metal, i don't know what it is :p

[edit]
from his biography:

When he left jail, he became a radar operator [in the navy]. After a few years and because of an accident, the Navy retires him after falling from a ship's pole and hitting his head. Damião is back to the streets, and goes back to the profession that he had when young: he becomes a pimp. He then uses the money from the hookers to record his albums

the guy is also a pirate AND a pimp. Whoa, just whoa

i'd post the book he wrote here, but here's a note from his tribute website:

"Note: The book is in Portuguese, so if you cannot understand it, we recommend that you learn Portuguese, it's easy and fun, you will love 10 verbal tenses and 60 verbal flexions. "

so
eauheauhueahe :P

Anyway, he has a TON of songs, and they're all free. Funny thing is: his less-old works actually sound kinda zappa-ish!

here's a bunch:
