Argh, I hate this! I can't talk to my own girlfriend in person. For some reason, I don't know why, I just can't do it. I'm fine over the internets or on the phone, but face to face I suck. Any advice would be great, as long as its not "lol ur just 14 you dont need a girlfriend" or things of that ilk.

Because the whole meeting girls over internet thing is relatively new, number 1 tip is if you like ANY girl, get to know her in person a lot first.

Discussions on MSN can be sweet and all too, but you also feel a lot more comfortable talking to her in person. Best advice I can ever give is if your gonna ask a girl out, make sure you can tell her that in person without hesitation.

I was in the same situation 2 years ago. I had a girlfriend in the same school as me, but we never talked at school, only MSN. We went on one date and it was really awkward, cause it was really the first time we met in person instead of eyeing each other at school. It was awkward because me and her shared almost all our feelings for each other over texting, it feels really weird when you are face-to-face.

Relationship didn't last long either.

You just need to be around her more. You'll get used to it, eventually.

Just kinda reiterating what JJ (and Dunkel ) have said: don't try too hard, and just be yourself. Cliched I know, but she has become interested in you via certain qualities you possess, so you should use those and not try and become too eager or impulsive.

She sees something in you that she likes.
BE that person. Use the good qualities in your nature, and have confidence.

And be honest.

You'll be fine mate, we all go through this once in our life time. Just be yourself and make her feel comfortable around you. Be kind to her.

You're too young. Take a break. I was in the same position and it's not worth the suffering. In a few years you're going to want your life back, trust me.

At that age? Honestly? Go for meaningless sexual encounters instead of annoying everyone around you with your PDA.

I don't give a shit about how I might feel in two years. Instead of just avoiding mistakes, I'd like to make them, and then learn from them. And I've already invested too much into this (I really like her.)

And thanks to everyone else with their fantastic advice, it was just what I needed to hear. I get to be with her her all day tomorrow, so this is my big chance to prove I'm not insane. Luckily at least, she likes me because she thinks I'm sweet and all, so it shouldn't be hard. Anyway, I've bored you all enough. Toodles!

I've had this problem a few times =P. Through experience, I've found that the only meaningful relationship I've had so far is when I asked someone out in person (not to tread on a certain someone's shoes who's already brought this up).
But you also have to remember that it's a lot, lot easier to get a girlfriend whilst in school. Outside of school, it becomes a different matter, because suddenly you aren't surrounded by potential dates anymore =P.
But as long as you like her, think about the reasons why you like her other than her looks, spend more time with her (which will hopefully add to that list) and it should just come naturally.
That's the only advice I can really offer you ^_^.
