For anyone interested or pretending to be.

It all went down the day of the nasty pics flooding the Shoutbox, thanks to some bored little turd who's tried several times since then...are goats_e pics really that fascinating? Anyways, I digress...

I deleted all of the offensive shouts, but since then, the number of shouts editable/visible are now only 2, which, by the way, happens to be one more than it was after the incident. Why did it change? Who knows. How did it increase to 2 on its own? The settings weren't even touched in the Admin panel's board configuration. Since then, Coma and I have both tinkered with different settings, increasing and decreasing the amounts of shouts, but to no avail. We can change the quantity of shouts in the scrolling box, but the box itself is basically dead, aside from the 2 shouts last posted.

Just another reason why this forum needs to be updated.

Any luck if you look at the PHP source code of the Shoutbox page? If the Admin Control Panel doesn't work I'd say that's where the solution lies. Time for some old skool h4x0rz!!


Would it be possible for a couple of folks from this forum to team up and help us to that new phpBB3 forum? I'd be willing to help (in 2 weeks time ) but I'm not sure I'll be of much use. I'm a computer science student but I don't know shit about PHP or anything related.

I can't really be of much help either, I've had only minimal PHP experience. I'd really like to be able to use an avatar again though.

Of course, since my school recently changed a class to PHP from plain ol' Java, just as soon as I completed it.

I've dabbled in PHP/MySQL and own a few tech books, so if my help is useful, I'll gladly chip in.

If you click on the word "Shoutbox" (yes it's a link!) it'll take you to a non-scrolling page, which only shows 2 shouts last time I checked it.

Dayum. I never knew that!
