Tis such a weird situation at the moment. Theres been a rumor that Demonoid basically shut itself down after Oink got closed down and waited till the climate cooled down.

which would be a smart thing to do i guess. i dont really care personally. i can get shit elsewhere either way.

Demonoid have been having trouble with various copyright and royalty organizations, they've been moving between The Netherlands, Canada, Malaysia, Ukraine... The original admin, Demos, got sick of it and had some personal matters so handed the whole lot over to some new guy, who fired the whole thing back up again.


I've never really used TorrentSpy. If you want torrents, check either Demonoid (if you're a member) or search on http://www.torrentz.com (although they seem to be filtering these days), http://www.pizzatorrent.com, http://www.youtorrent.com. Usually you'll find what you need on either http://www.mininova.org or http://www.thepiratebay.org

TorrentSpy was good....what? 4 years ago?

I'm happy that damn site is down. No, I'm not clicking on your goddamn nudie sponsors, and 3/4 of torrents on there were always dead anyway.

Im glad Demonoid is back! But its been back for a while.

i never got in oink. it closed just after i heard of it really. I must be bad luck.

Is Demonoid being a bitch for other people too or is it just me?

Seems to be working ok for me...A slow down here or there but nothing too bad.

So is isohunt.com considered inferior then? Because it's what I use, and it's never done me any wrong.

I was gutted when Oink got shut down, I'd only just signed up and had about 20gb of music on the go. It felt like someone died

I keep having to reload pages a couple of times before they show up. A friend complained about it too, not sure what's going on.

If you're using a router, do you have the ports forwarded properly? Do torrents from other trackers work?


I think people throughout the country have trouble with Demonoid, I can access it properly using one of those fancy online proxies. Tis not very nice

Ah, no problems with it anymore. Havent had problems with Demonoid for a few days now.
